For foal cam addicts...

aw no, i was escaping this til now, might have to go watch, but not for long, work in the morning..... she says...

Excited for real life foal watch in march, mare where my share lives due to foal :)

Thanks for the link!

Well, ive stayed up past my bedtime and she doesn't look ready to drop in the next 30-60 mins to me so i'm off to bed. Which probably means she will foal in about ten minutes knowing my luck ;)

She was lying down and seemed to be panting, I was sure she was on the move, but she still hasn't started. If someone would just let her out for a couple of hours maybe it would get things moving, she must be bored to tears stuck in that little kennel!

I too think she should get some fresh air! Also she doesn't seem to get much fuss. But obviously I don't see 24/7 of this. Just seems someone comes in, poo picks, puts in water/hay but doesn't really acknowledge her much. I wanna go in give her a cuddle and take her for a short walk!

Can't wait to see her foal! :)

Comment by katrina davis (Chantilly'S owner) 3 hours ago - "tillys special bought her dam in foal with her lovely mare bg( better be going) but unfortunately she was put to sleep shortly after the birth due to hemoraging did some research after and found out that she had had a difficult first foaling and wouldnt stant to the stallion again so they a i d her and sold her on, tilly was bottle fed by me for the first four days of her life till i found a foster mare, a lovely old mare whos foal had been still born, it was magic instand bond between them, tilly is still my baby tho even now at 18 she dose the fence line inspection with me, her chin on my shoulder as we walk haha "

Have you seen how tiny this mare is, you can really onlytell when someone is in with her. she'd not the size of a big dog!

I have been watching now for 3 or so days and I have to say that it is rather reminding me of being strapped down to the hopsital bed, monitored and unable to move around during labour. I'm wondering why the mare hasn't left her stable in all this time, even for a walk in hand. She stands neighing at the back door asking to go out. There must be a good reason?

On a lighter note - I'm sure the cat is a tiger and the people are giants! ;)

Hi All!

I started running the foal cam on Barnmice after Heather (Mare Stare) joined us a couple of years ago and I took what I thought would be ONE peek at her live feed!

I am based in Canada, but my kids were in school in the U.K. a couple of years ago (Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex), and being a worrying mother, I was back and forth every month. Actually, the shopping and theatre were also a draw!

Imagine how excited I was when someone in our foal cam group linked to this discusison!

I am so thrilled to have so many people from the U.K watching and joining us.

My warmest welcome - and sincere thanks!! :)

Hi Barbara

We are very keen to see the little ones foal! Also, ask someone go in and give her a big fuss! (I'm a softie like that!) :)

I thought she was about to foal a moment ago - but she just had a wee - oh well - this is soooo addictive. I've been watching for about 3 or 4 days.

I have my own cameras to watch at the moment, first mare was due two days ago - US mares foal on Northern hemisphere timing so any time from now is normal and BTW mares do not pant when they are in labour - lol. Some don't even sweat, just get down, foal and stand up again!
