For foal cam addicts...

Just logged on ... this could be really interesting to watch! Are both the ponies due or just chantilly? (Can't really see wendy, but she looks small around)
 
A lot of the tail cocks are probably gas. She's unsettled at the moment because she wants to go out after having the run of the barn. Sadly she's too close to foaling to let her run out in the pasture just in case she decides to sneak out a foal. She has a companion (Tess) with her to try to help her feel more settled

Don't you wish we could explain things to them. You know, along the lines of 'settle down love, have that babby and we'll get you both outside in a jiffy!'

I was going to say maybe she'll agitate herself into a foal, but she's gone back to food...

Both horses are pregnant, I do believe Wendy will be next up on the list. Tomorrow is Lace's (Tilly's) rough due date. maybe she will co-operate!

Theres a lot more live webcams and info on the horses...due dates, what they have, etc, and i signed up for the email allerts, you get a low allert when things start moving and high allert when defo moving.
 
She hasn't done any butt tucks yet, she has been shifting her weight though.
Heather has said that as there's a serious weather front moving in, this is the last day for a couple that she'll be able to go out, hence her door is open for her to in and out all of today.

Now, if she could do a nice daytime foaling before the cold moves in... Wouldn't that be lovely!
 
i have been watching on and off for several days now. I have it open in another tab and check on it every few minutes.

I'm a bit addicted now!
 
I'm loving the cat wandering in and out with Chantilly! Do you think the cat knows something is up and the foal is due?
 
I'm suffering from a severe lack of sleep now - been going to bed late and getting up early and leaving computer on all night in case I want to pop down and check what's happening. My friends think I'm mad.

Beginning to wish I had never looked! Can't give up now though :)

It's currently feeding time there, the Horses (they're miniature horses not ponies, same body build as a horse, not like a pony) are more interested in feeding their faces. They are currently battening down the hatches for a storm and need to get everyone in under cover and sorted. They get plenty of interaction, if you watch the cam all day then you will see it.

If you are not happy with anything you see on the cam do feel free to turn it off and do not watch. Please be aware this is their barn, their rules and there are things you don't see that happens off cam that may need thinking about before voicing concerns over the Horses' care on a public forum.

I agree with you Mayhem - unfortunately some people on this forum like to pick holes in absolutely everything they see - they can't help it - it's like a disease.
 
Ah with the barn alarm, it pops up on the very bottom with a link to the cam which is going off. Click the silence button to stop the whinnying. Don't ever click the 'click to silence' without clicking the link to the cam or you'll lose the link to the cam.

This. Mind I can see why people COULD see cause for concern if they didn't see the cams all day but in the case of a public forum they should maybe watch what they say as in some cases (this one) it happens to be that people are not seeing the whole thing, which could well lead to issues between people. I, as I said, am happy enough to answer any and all concerns or questions as I have nothing better to do then stare at fat little horses all day :D

There is no need to fly off the handle. I was explaining what is going on over there in South Carolina so no one got any other ideas that things are bad there. I have watched this farm for 3-4 years now and they love their horses and any that go through their farm, and I hate that people can see what they see and not the whole picture. I think you'll find my tone is totally friendly and I am here to educate educate educate, not argue. :)
