should I go bitless? which bitless bridle? yes you should! and barefoot and treeless whilst you are at it. then at least when your horse tanks off and you have no brakes and steering we wont be able to hear you coming.

In my defence horse is a odd shape and it was the saddle that fitted. I do prefer brown and the others have brown tack. Does this still make me "one of them"

Yep! I have only done it once (so far). It means you don't see their posts at all, (though if they are quoted by someone else you do see that).

Coconut oil, not any rubbish kind though, the proper stuff that you have to melt first. And don't forget the black pepper, you need that extra seasoning! By of salt properly wouldn't go too badly either. 😂

I can't get my horse to do anything. He was highly trained by a professional when I got him, do you think I need lessons? My last horse was a 25 year old cob....

my vet says my saddle doesn't fit my pony - but it's the same as all my friends have got, and I've got a full set of matchy pads to go with it - where can I find a new vet. On a budget.

If it works for your friends then it must be the right saddle for you. I would not bother with a vet at all. Forums are free.

I have three brown saddles and one black one... with red piping. What kind of monster does that make me?
I'm always up for a barbecue... Curried horse leg sounds terrific.
I can't decide which yard to go to... There's two options - one has no winter turnout, the school is surfaced with cow excrement and the yard "cat" (actually a lovechild of the YO's pet lion and her ex-OH*'s pet tiger) likes to chase the horses. Oh and the YO is an axe wielding maniac who barbecues curried horse legs in her garden. The other yard seems really nice - fields, stables, nice arena, no sign of any wild animals or grotesquely sickening violence at all. But it's £5 more a month... What should I do?
*I say "ex", they're still together, but he's in prison for murdering previous liveries. She was accused too, but her lawyer got her off on a technicality. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about though...

Everyone on the yard is talking about me and it's not my fault cos I never do nothing wrong and I do all the poo picking all the time because everyone else is lazy and they say I'm not riding my horse enough but I think I am cos it's at least twice a month when he's in 24/7 and it's not my fault I can't there until 11.30 on a weekend when I've been out the night before and my horse likes standing in poo anyway and he doesn't need hay cos he's fat. And they don't think I should feed him burgers and chips but he likes them a lot. Why is everyone so mean?

how can you tell by seeing them in real life. You should know you can only critique conformation from a blurry bad photo (preferably with a rug on and lying down)

- I've just got a new horse but i don't think it loves me enough, and why is it not perfect already?
- I don't know why an event horse needs a martingale and grackle. I can hack my 23yr old cob in a cavesson in the field, so I think eventers just need to school their horses properly
- My horse is very lively and very overweight. But I only give it 2 buckets of feed just to put its 24 supplements in. I don't know what the problem is?

I don't know. I respect its privacy. Previous owner had a stallion but said my horse didn't like him.
