first of all foxes are not vermin if they were wildlife rehabilitation centres would not be allowed to treat injured foxes and release them bak into the wild.
Foxes are not fluffy toys i think i have learnt that much in my life time.

Hunting is not a black and white issue. The hunt provides many services to the countryside and to farmers, including huge amounts of conservation and dealing with fallen stock. The thing is, foxes are pest to farmers, and they have no natural predator, so farmers will kill them. There is no particularly good way of doing this, and although hunting may seem cruel, compared to traps, poison and bungled shooting, it is actually quite a swift end. Hunts are expensive to maintain, so to enable the hunt to exist and do its job, people pay to go along. They do not necessarily go to see an animal killed, but for the chance to ride across land that is not usually accessible. There are so many aspects to the argument, but it is worth finding out some facts before deciding it is cruel.

Agreed, that's why the hunting ban is such a load of old b*llocks, that did the fox population no favours at all IMHO. At least when fox hunting was permitted - It was survival of the fittest.

people still feel the need to break the law and do it n e way

If someone is caught doing it then they will receive what they deserve but in all honesty do you really think that you can stop these people! At the end of the day until you have proof you cannot do anything about it!

The drafting of this particular statute has enabled hunting to continue albeit in a less traditional manner - hence the appearance of birds of prey in the hunting field for example - than prior to the 'ban'. Therefore you may sleep easy in your bed knowing that it is not always neccessary to break the law in order to continue hunting.

P.S. Are you having me on - is there really a degree purely in animal welfare?? If so what does that career does that qualify you to pursue?

Do you think I need more salt?

As for this cruelty s**t when the RSPCA, ILPH & Red Wings are no longer needed I'll listen to the debate on cruelty to foxes in the meantime I think there are bigger fish to fry....or are we looking to ban that as well? Next it'll be illegal to hunt flies with spiders webs - world gone mad.

If the local hunt was flushing out and chasing my children, I think I'd be quite pissed off about it.

What a very strange question.

How would you feel if your children were left outside to fend for themselves all winter?

I don't have strong opinions either way on fox hunting but your text speak is grating on me! If you are old enough to do this so called "degree" surely you are old enough to spell properly? It is not that I don't understand text speak - I do - but text speak is for texts, not for conducting what you obviously hope to be a coherent case against fox hunting.

Noo not salt! *tuts* Honestly..some people! Plenty of seasoning, pepper but not salt. Roast as opposed to boil. Crunchy on the outside smooth on the inside!
