Funniest Names You've Called Your Horses

Ted sometimes gets called Tiana( as people often think he's a mare) and also Tedward or Tedwardo. My favourite is El Donkerino.

Lenny gets called Leonard, Noggin and Nogs

Most commonly used at the moment is Donkey, closely followed by Swamp Donkey when she gets muddy :)
 
My highland often gets called Asbo pony, Mr Fluffy or Sausage Pot .... but then I refer to my dog as Sausage Pot as well ....

Jeff usually gets called The Hocamaffe. He looks like a horse, rides like a camel and has a neck to rival a giraffes!

GrayMo is usually GayMo or the Mountain Goat.
 
I call my lad Bugrump - it's something my nan use to call us grandchildren when we were being cheeky, no idea why but she was from the Black Country so she used loads of weird words!
 
Cara cowbag, cos she is!!! Foal born this year milly ( the moocher) cos she's in to everything. Two foals due next year, already chosen the name Humfrey for a Colt will shorten to Humph !!!

I have a pretty palomino, named Wizadora, who just got called Barbie pony. So now she is Barbie.Sometimes BP. When i ride her I always say " Come on Barbie, Let's go party!"
I had a Ricochet who was also known as Ricky the Bricky as he was a little bit thicky...also known as "tricks." But he was a lovely horse, horse of a lifetime really.
Doris is Dozzie or the Dozz monster.Hence my user name.
 
I have a Rodney 'cos he's a plonker ! That makes the other one Del Boy which is about right. Just occurred to me we should call youngster Damien.
 
I had a great big grey warmblood; the old-fashioned type with a head like a cart horse and feet the size of dinner plates. He was fractionally under 17hh and very noble looking.

He was called "Mouse" at home. Everyone assumed it was because he was a bit of a wimp but it actually started because we got down to the yard one morning to find that he'd rolled on one in the night. There was a very flat rodent in his box and a fabulous squished mouse stain on his side. It took ages to scrub off 😭
 
Gollum is mines nickname as he has a split personality... I use this nickname with such regularity online that some of the fb friends genuinely thought that was his name (they thought this for about 2 years!)

Bailey Bumtrinket (Bailey is his stable name) I called him it once (bumtrinket is the name of a boat in my favourite childhood book) and it stuck!!! Oooops
 
I call Young Cob 'little one' as he is the smallest on the yard - only about 14.1h. A neighbour expressed astonishment that anything that weighs about 500kg could be termed 'little'! The lovely person who recently asked if he was a racehorse was charming, but totally incorrect!

Old cob is known by many names - mostly unrepeatable.

'Bugg*r' lugs' is a very well bred Hanoverian who loves his ears and poll being rubbed.
