Well I am absolutely hanging... nephew woke me up at 5 this morning... Anyhow, had all my stables mucked out and left on time, the classes were HUGE, so am very very pleased with Genie.

First off was the 2'6 pairs. We had a blast and went clear. Her pony is quite nappy so we were lead horse, but they were thrilled when their pony overtook us a few times. I met skewby and her gorgeous horse before our round, and was thrilled with Genie who despite being rather strong flew round, and we went clear, coming 6th out of 34.

Ready to go... You can just see my second youngest nephew (I have 4 nephews, 2 staying this weekend) in his halloween mask!

Having a break in a boggy bit in the pairs

Our 2'6 individual was about an hour later, so we both had time to recover! Genie again flew round clear, and we came 10th out of 32. Couldn't quite believe how quickly some people went despite horrible ground... I had studs and took it steady!

Ready to go...

I am so so proud of my pony. She's taken me since the beginning of summer this year from being worried about a 1ft cross pole to doing these 2'6 classes and having a blast. Definately my one in a million horse.

Thanks everyone!

Yes I love it up there Flibble! Go up there quite a bit, just wish I lived close enough to have her at livery there really.

I only went once on my old chap Gulliver he clean jumped me out of the saddle at a ditch. Lovely course. Big Lump will be going there hopefully next year when I can jump ver a fence properly again its soooo long since I went proper X/c and Gulliver was a babe.

Need to get new lad so that he doesnt find it quite so exciting.

Oh Fi well done you!!! Yes ground was rubbish by the individual class, I was shocked

Unfortunately my lovely horse was not so bloody lovely in the individual, napped and refused, then when I made him go on lost his temper and took off to the end of the course. Was furious with him and made a massive tit of myself. Had him in a snaffle as he's been so ace XC, never in a million thought he'd do that. Still, you live and learn!

Was great to meet you though, and as expected, Genie is just lovely

I believe they cancelled class 6! I had whacking great studs in and was so worried about her slipping....

Oh dear not so lovely indeed! Sorry we didn't get to chat a bit more, the joy of competing stress!

We had no studs but still stayed upright at warp speed, by some miracle! Not surprised they cancelled, ambulance was very busy by the time we went round

Where are the pro pics? I hope to God they didn't get one of me mid-bolt!!!

Thanks Fi, don't know if I dare look, lol!!

That is a super pic, also can see how much you two have improved since the pics you put up for me to show me the course. Awesome!

Shame they took it over the piddliest fence on the course though - why do photographers do that?!
