Grand National meeting.

Did I misunderstand that.

They were interviewing a woman called Suzanna Ricci, they said 'I know you lost a horse today' and she replied 'yeah. It's the day that dreams are made of. We are lucky to have 2 fantastic horses'

Completely failing to acknowledge her dead horse?

Surely not.

I noticed that too, not the best answer 😬

Re the GN, unpopular opinion but i think they've actually made it more dangerous by making the fences smaller, so they will just hurdle them. Keep the height and make them properly jump them. On the 2nd circuit they almost look like glorified hurdles

Lossiemouth is a star indeed, but I think that also Paul is tactically much, much better than Nico.
Nico is lovely and a beautiful rider. But he’s better unchallenged, I agree not the best tactician. Also riding in Ireland with so many runners in every race must be a better training ground than swanning around on the best horse over here.

I’m in Stage Star so I’m absolutely delighted with his run.
So sad about CH bogging it again, I thought he’d broken his neck, thank goodness he’s ok.

Do wish I knew the password to my online account as I’d have had a bet on this one. In the earlier race thought Gaelic Warrior was beaten but how he came back. Super ride.

Good morning, just saying ‘ hello’ to racing fans on here . I record the racing and watch in the evening, so I can’t join in with discussion and have to avoid social media.
However good Willie Mullins is, I am not happy with him winning every race. I am too English!
So sad for Nico at the moment, he is such a horseman and exceptionally good bringing on the youngsters but I have to agree with Clodagh that he is not the best when things get competitive. My goodness there was some jockeyship in C H ‘s race! I would still rather watch Nico’s riding than Harry Skelton’s untidy flailing style any day!

A nice read about all the living Grand National winners.

Was just about to post that!

This is where ITV are missing a trick, how about instead of the stupid social stable/fashion/drunk people, they do little sections on where each of them are now, I'm sure they could easily get video clips. Not just GN winners either, they have enough shows they could easily feature multiple retirees

Yes totally agree. RoR have recently asked for videos of horses so along the Home Schooling lines to be used by ITV to promote retired horses for the Sky Bet Sunday series and have submitted a video of mine so fingers crossed on that one ..... he has been on Home Schooling a few times and someone who used to take him racing got in touch which was lovely.

On today's racing, the first race has a long title : Huyton Asphalt Franny Blennerhassett Memorial Mildmay Novices' Chase. I do think it is good where they keep the older name plus the sponsor.

Yay, c’mon the Brits 🙌🏼
I love Caldwell Potter. Didn’t bet on that race today, but would have picked him.
Wellington Arch was in my bet though, glad he held on 💃🏽
