Oh not KK? Whoever. Still a worryBroadway dare I say looked instant so will be pleasantly surprised if not
Celebre also being "assessed"
I said that to OH.I do wonder if the announcement of any fatalities will happen after the live coverage has ended, even if the outcome is already known.
Broadway Boy’s fall was horrible.
Kkid was up and caught by his jockey looked ok to meOh not KK? Whoever. Still a worry
I’m exactly the same. Finding it harder and harder. Maybe getting closer and closer to pushing up daisies makes a person value simple beauty moreSame.
As much as I love to see racehorses, looking so fit and well, I just find the fatalities harder and harder to watch as I get older.
I find some solace in knowing that horses in races like this are 'older' and have had some life, but it is just so desperately sad to see these majestic animals fall to their deaths and for nothing more than money really.
I saw Harry catch him. Hunting teaches many skillsKkid was up and caught by his jockey looked ok to me![]()
I've been suspecting that too. Sounds like only one horse still on the course (Celebre) and possibly Broadway Boy removed/being removed, but they didn't want to announce it.I do wonder if the announcement of any fatalities will happen after the live coverage has ended, even if the outcome is already known.

Oh no…I thought he started to go wobbly for a few moments coming in off course. Please ‘no’One that got up after a fall early on didnt' look right behind when he galloped off. He looked like he was dragging his fetlock. He was a brown horse so not KK.
Also, I'm reading on twitter that the winner collapsed in the washing off boxes...Is that correct?
I'm the same. The Nash has always been a big thing in our family. It's really the only horse race we watch without fail but I find it harder to watch every year. I don't know if it is age or because we have social media now and the fallers get talked about more, but I spend the entire race hoping that none get hurt instead of focussing on who is winning.I’m exactly the same. I guess they might not want to risk an exhausted horse falling against the resistance of the pool. Would be all sorts of trouble. As someone who lost my husband recently, I was tearful at the winner's owner. I can see how happy he is but I bet he misses his wife tonight. I was tearful.
I too thought the winner looked poorly at the finish. I hope water splooshed brings him round.
The bad fall looked awful
I could quite fancy having velcro'ed myself the that grey at the back. Met the fences beautifully!
My boyfriend asked why they didn't install a swimming pool type thing, shallow enough to still walk through but also deep enough to effectively start cooling. I bet they've all had pool training if they are in The National.

Same.

water treadmills are serious hard work to walk in. Would not be a good idea.!

Yeah. I've never been to a horse race but it's really weird to think that horses can be celebrated one minute, dead the next, and the party carries on metres from where the horse potentially took its last breath.I also struggle with the whole 'The show must go on!' mentality of it all.
There should be more recognition for these animals who lose their lives. I don't know what I am expecting really. I just don't find the short 'sadly we have lost XXX' to cut it.
They are just very, very soon forgotten.
Oh my… good news.Jockey club has stated on twitter broadway boy up![]()
