Gray's found Guilty

There is no doubt that the sentencing will not be as strong as we would like,

but the fact that a guilty verdict has been returned, and the surviving equines are safe from further harm is a mighty victory and we should not lose sight of that.

A bit of a blow to those friends and family who spent so long defending him in discussion on here.....I wonder if they will be brave enough to come back.

Yes you scum.....we waited for the truth to come out.....and it did.

[/ QUOTE ]

They haven't been seen since the RSPCA videos came out
smirk.gif

Great news!! lets hope they get the sentence they deserve which will send out the message to others that think treating animals this way is acceptable. What will happen to the horses he has bought since the others were removed?

Excellent news!!

Wonder what myjack is making of it all.....................lol

Egg on Face springs to mind.

MyJack owes HHO users one hell of a serious Apology.
For that person to defend The Grays with such passion, I suggest MyJack watches the RSPCA video and then tell us it was quite normal?

Those video's are heartbreaking.

I'm not saying this applies to all of the horses he had, but maybe it'll be a wake up call to some people who discard their unwanted horses and ponies through the sales rather than making responsible decisions.

I agree they won't get nearly long enough but can be sentenced to 12 months in the Mags' Court (for 2 or more offences) or committed to the Crown Court for sentence if the Mags' Court DJ does not feel his sentencing powers are sufficient. I hope they are banned for the rest of their lives from keeping any animals.

Would you want to buy Spindles Farm?? Damn sure I wouldn't.

Rest it, revamp it and rename it Phoenix Farm

Rise from the ashes as something big and beautiful, a santuary to all that pass through

Just got home from Bicester!!!!

WHAT A FABULOUS RESULT, then again WE all knew the truth!!!!

The final statements from the judge was fantastic and very damming of the defense..... James Gray sat throughout with his head down......

But I for one am very pleased as it made those two weeks back in January 2008 totally worthwhile......

Sentencing is on June 12th at Aylesbury Magistrates Court.

FANTASTIC NEWS...MYJACK where are you ?????
YOU and a few OTHER people in here should give HHO MEMBERS a public apology,i am one who took lots of abuse about the Gray's but guess what ...it was worth it after today's verdict
smile.gif

OMG I cannot believe what the reporter has just said... they said that the horses still belong to the Grays and I think they said it depends on what the sentencing is the horses could be returned to them!!!!!

Watched the report and the pics of the horses was very upsetting, the Grays are scum bags.

I have just danced and pranced all around my stables squealing YES YES YES!!! god knows what the others on my yard thought lol

This has just about made my year so far, its the best news and just proves sometimes, just sometimes Justice is served.

Now lets just hope he gets what he deserves and well lets say he doesn't bend over in the shower to pick up the soap to often lol!!!

Good News they have ALL been found guilty but I doubt if any of us will be pleased with the sentencing when it happens.

those poor horses how could anyone let them fade away
frown.gif
mad.gif

hope they get what they deserve.

yes they said upto a judge if they get horses back.

they didnt even look sorry or uh uh cant think of the word...ashamed no thats not word i was after.

That is great news! How anyone who likes horses can be so neglectful is beyond believing.

My other big peeve about this is the reference to Amersham - which is were I was originally from. The property is in Hyde Heath several miles from Amersham.

I'm afraid it's true that the judge will need to decide whether or not to grant a deprivation order and take the horses from them. Fingers, toes, eyes, arms, legs and anything else crossed that this will be the outcome.

It's a great result though none the less

Oddly... I would. I'd knock everything down, leave it a few years to sort the fields out and make it all nice and turn it into an equine rescue. Would be changing the name to something else though, but I think you could make something really good out of what happened there.

Me too. If money were no object, thats what I would do.
Im so glad they were found guilty, scumbags.
I cried at the photos of the dead horses and the skeletons on 4 news.

I was so worried he wouldn't get convicted, but so pleased he has...it will never be enough 6 months or 60 years imo......and I have to control my seething thoughts around individuals like this, just despicable individuals....

Wonderful to see the fortunate ones cantering around and bucking compared to the woeful sight of the depressed emanciated creatures of before. And, at last, a just sentence for cruelty is in sight.
