Its not that amusing when we are located on a main road (B road) and have been told if we let them out and they kill someone we can be held responsible for it .. so we currently have no choice but to keep them

Oh and not the mention the abuse I've had off car drivers this morning even thought they aren't my horses

OMG - have they been put in your field? What a worry and inconvenience for you.

Could it be seen you have been given them by persons unknown? If so, can't you give them away? I'll have one, please. Be a right turn up if the 'owners' came back for them and they were gone, serves them right.

I hope things are sorted soon for you .

Think I would lock them in the field and make it as hard as possible for them to get their GG's back out! (Thats if you want to risk being left with about 20 horses!!!!!) where abouts are you?

Well they are at the entrance of the yard (as someone had herded them in this morning) so they are on the driveway up to the main yard .. luckily no-where near any of our horses.

The problem is they trash anything in their sight (the stallion went through two five bar gate and a fence !)

have i missed something? whats wrong with them???

Nothings wrong with them but they've appeared on my yard!

Take the skewbald in the second pic - it looks to be the best out of the photos you took - not badly put together and could turn out to be a nice trad in a few years with a bit of work.

Consider it payment for livery - hide it now - you could always say it died and had the body got rid of.

Might be wrong, but only way you will get anything out of it.

Back in the days before passports, I had a problem with a gypsy pony keep coming onto my land. When they wouldn't come and pick it up and no one wanted to know I took it to the sales. Shame you can't do that nowadays! What a pain for you.

oh i see!!!!!

not an ideal situation

i know when pikeys moved themselves onto a local farmers land, bout 10 tractors and farmers went down there and told them to move or they would be moved with the tractors they left pretty quick
you could try something like that?!
good luck gettin rid of them

Send me one too, I'm a sucker for ugly scruffy coblets, a colt if possible but I could live with a filly
grin.gif
gosh I'd be in my element in that field with all those to play with!
smile.gif

I would get the owner of field to keep at council if they are on private property then something should be done trouble is that police etc are all frightend of gypsys there are loads near us at the minute and the whole road is just blocked off with police etc and that only half of them theres usually about 100 horses by the time they've finished farmer use to let them use one of his fields untill they tarmacked it all

When this happened at a place my mum was staying and I posted on here for advice, one member suggested that she lie and said that a horse had busted out onto the road, once the police/RSPCA turn up they might as well help as they have already made the journey.

Oh and pop this one in the post, thankies!

So you mean they have just shipped them in over night into your livery yards spare fields?

Bloody hell, there's some nice looking animals in amongst them - do you think you could send a couple down my way? It's not far, just drive them down the M4!

I would have thought the only way to get the police/RSPCA involved would be to let them loose on the road, they would have to do something about them then, but obviously is not something you want to do if they're going to be a danger
frown.gif
I would be tempted to ring both and say they're loose on the road, but by the time they've turned up you've managed to wrangle them into a field and as one poster said, while they're there....

Hate to say it but I would put them on the road, then call police/RSPCA etc and report loose horses, they'll soon come out and do something about it! Just make sure you're there, so they don't just put the horses back into your field!
I know it's cruel but you cannot look after all these horses and have your property damaged!
mad.gif

Sue the police if anyone gets injured, they were aware of the problem and chose to ignore it!!

Perhaps also contact the papers to give the police/RSPCA some more bad publicity...?

A friend of a friend of a freind had this problem but it was 1 stallion at their small yard of only mares. The Police knew who the horse belonged to, contacted them & told them that if they didn't turn up to collect by a fixed time the next day the horse would be slaughtered & gave yard owner written permission to do so. My friend contacted me, I contacted a friend who contacted her friend whose friend took it in!

If it were me id move one or two into another field thats not anywhere near this one, then id just say they must have been stolen, get your moneys worth!
