H&H not arriving on time

Totally fed up with not receiving mine on time- i am in the Thames Valley and it usually arrives Saturday :mad: been like this the whole time :( i cancelled in August and despite this,H&H HELPED THEMSELVES TO MY MONEY IN OCTOBER :mad::mad:
 
I'm a BA postcode. This weeks came today and about 1/2 the time it is a day late but I haven't had any extreme lateness I must admit. Still it is frustrating when you see it on the shelves when you should already have it! Amazon keeps managing to send me things early!
 
Well yet again mine hasn't arrived, and now it has started snowing again I don't suppose it will :( I think I too will cancel - it used to be worth having but it is becoming more like My Little Pony magazine these days anyway. Think what I could do with all that money I save ;)

up until a few weeks ago mine arrived every thursday, so i renewed my subcription happily, since then it came fri last week and hasn't even come today so it will no doubt be tomorrow..horse and hound this simply isn't good enough, if we are paying for it to be delivered it should get delivered on time! otherwise it is pointless paying for something that turns up days late.

Come on get this sorted-perhaps it is due to high volume of other mail around the xmas period but all other mail is being received on time, it only seems your mag that is not and having seen SOOO many people all over the country with the same problem it simply cannot be due to weather or royal mail as that would certainly be area restrictive....

I would like to hear your response h+h!
 
At the risk of being even more boring, I would like to mention that I (still) haven't received this week's copy of H&H today.....two copies missing and I wonder when I might receive them?

Please, would someone investigate this problem and DO something about it, rather than send out notifications telling us "CUSTOMERS" to ring a number, and then to listen to a load of platitudes. That is, of course, assuming you can get through to said number!!!
 
I'm in Hungerford and mine's been on time everyday this year, apart from yesterday when i phoned up the call line and took out an entire day's worth of frustration on the chap on the end of the line (it had been a bad day!)
Found it this morning in my flat mate's room where it had been used to mop up a coffee spill. Was so embarrased at going off on one at the chap on the phone I forgot to have a go at the housemate!
 
Still not got mine this week but everything else has arrived on time.

Come on H&H sort it out. It's your responsibility as the sender.

I shall be cancelling in the New year, the mag is now a load of rubbish and I shan't miss it, despite having read it for the last 40 years or so.....................
 
We have subscribed for the last ten yrs, but have also been discussing cancelling, really doesn't seem worth it any more,plus it being late before and during the bad weather hasnt helped.

HHO, how about a new thread asking us what we would like to see in the mag and how you can keep your customers? Perhaps I should start a post..
 
gave up my subscription many years ago, as was always in my local shop, before mine came....also agree with everyone re the content, I guote my aged aunt "if I wanted to read gossip, I would buy the Daily Mail" she is in her eighties and has had the horse and hound for many years, she and her husband do not enjoy it anymore, I think she speaks for many people.

Also cancelling. Sorry, if Royal Mail can't do it, get somebody else to do it. Simples.

Oh, and I'm getting both letters and parcels from Royal Mail at the moment on time.
 
I have not received mine for the past 2 weeks, first time ever it has been late. I am surprised to see on the list that BH postcode affected as thats where i am and we had one day of snow 2 weeks ago,then it was gone and we have a small amount today. Where do the Royal mail have their distribution centres to be experiencing such problems????? I could go and get it in the supermarket if H&H would give some reassurance that we will get either a refund or credit on our subscriptions, why are they unable to comment on this?
 
I haven't got mine either, but I remember that previously H&H sent out PDF versions if it was unlikely to get delivered so why haven't they done that this year?
 
My horse and hound is often late (recieved one copy on a tuesday and this weeks arrived today!) I'm in Colchester (CO), essex. I am getting annoyed by it. I enjoy reading the showjumping/national hunt reports but that's it. Sometimes there is nothing worth reading!! All horses for sale in H&H are ridiculously expensive and it's becoming elitist.
Royal mail are delivering other things slightly late, but I only live an hour away from a sorting office (chelmsford). No excuses.
 
The last 4-5 weeks my copy has arrived late (live in a LE Postcode). Recent weeks not just 1-2 days late but the latest edition arrived on Tuesday! No snow in the area.
IPC needs to join forces with other big publishers ie Reed (my husband's Farmers Weekly is also delivered days late) to lobby Royal Mail. Somewhere in the great scheme of things RM has taken the decision to put magazines to the bottom of the pile. Subscription mags must make up a huge chunk of their business. PLEASE H&H do something or a lot of subscribers will pull the plug and just buy the mag off the shelves when they feel like it.
 
Had H&H on subscription for 10yrs, the delivery service has gradually gone down hill and now I've enough of this rubbish service. Have moved house and closed old bank account so H&H can't take any more money and I won't be renewing my subscription. Am undecided as yet as to whether I will buy it from the shops, proberly won't. Maybe if everyone cancels their subsricption some action may be taken to deal with the problem.
 
Until recently my copy has generally been delivered on Thursday (once in a while Friday). The first week of bad weather it came Friday.
Now the last few weeks it's be rubbish - 9th arrived on 13th and the 16th hasnt yet arrived. Yet I've had parcels delivered by Royal Mail that I've only just ordered.
The subscription was a present from my husband last Christmas which he was going to re-new I've told him not to at the moment as I can walk to local shop and get it on Thursday.

Horse & Hound should also wake up & stop publishing a magazine that is half adverts - ok, so it generates revenue for them but as a reader for 15 years I am getting more & more fed up with it.
 
My copy from last week has still not arrived....

The week before was 2 days late...

Until then it was very rare to have a problem.

Am hoping tomorrow will bring a copy as I miss it!
