After a SHOCKING Winter my field was in the worse condition it has ever been in. It always gets wets, always has mud by the gates but never has it been so completely and utterly destroyed.
I've been feeding hay in the field all Winter and surprisingly the horses have not done to bad on it. As the ground has dried up they've really not enjoyed being on it as it was so rutted but today I finally managed to harrow it.
The field looks a million times better already and the horses did more moving around in an hour then they do in a day! They loved it and had a great time adding some news ruts
There is still ****** all grass, literally NONE, but at least they can go out without having to pick their way over the deep ruts/hard ground!
Here's a few piccys of them enjoying themselves -
(mouth full of hay
)
They'll sleep well tonight
Sorry if piccys are massive, have resized them but they are still showing as huge on my screen!
