He collapsed on the run-in. You could hear screams from the crowd as the last ones finished (seconds later they announced he had collapsed).

Butler's Cabin was the one that collapsed after the finish line, but is fine. State of Play is on Oxygen too, but is OK

strange isn't it, I can't imagine what people would say if I rode my horse til he needed oxygen.
I watch the national every year and enjoy doing so but I do wonder if it's worth it.

RIP Echo.I cannot watch the GN.I spend all the time counting the horses over the fences rather than enjoying the race itself.

3 horses including Comply or Die had to be put on oxygen at the end of the race - all are ok at the moment.

Apparently Butlers Cabin and Comply Or Die were on oxygen but were fine.
Hear The Echo was obviously exhausted from the second last but the jockey kept pushing him on. Surely he should be penalised?? I can't imagine how I would feel if it was my horse and he was ridden like that, I think my OH would go after the jockey with a baseball bat...

couldnt have put it better myself^^^^ people are so quick to have a go at eventers who push horses across the line that are clearly near their limit, yet seemingly ok to do so with the GN??? strange really but hey ho!!
