He collapsed on the run-in. You could hear screams from the crowd as the last ones finished (seconds later they announced he had collapsed).

Sound like Butlers cabin was lucky, he also collapsed and needed oxygen but is now back in his stable in one piece.

strange isn't it, I can't imagine what people would say if I rode my horse til he needed oxygen.
I watch the national every year and enjoy doing so but I do wonder if it's worth it.
 
Apparently Butlers Cabin and Comply Or Die were on oxygen but were fine.

Hear The Echo was obviously exhausted from the second last but the jockey kept pushing him on. Surely he should be penalised?? I can't imagine how I would feel if it was my horse and he was ridden like that, I think my OH would go after the jockey with a baseball bat...

couldnt have put it better myself^^^^ people are so quick to have a go at eventers who push horses across the line that are clearly near their limit, yet seemingly ok to do so with the GN??? strange really but hey ho!!
