Help - grackle noseband?

As much as I prefer brown tack, this is why I buy black stuff! Only one shade of black :p
Mally has a fat Irish head, yet her tack is all cob sized, Henry has a massive shire head and is in full tack, extra full must be for elephants!! ;)

*await replies saying that their lovely quality 'oss is in extra extra full and how dare I suggest that makes them a heffalump* :D

Just a quickie as Ive not read the whole thread - but try Frank Baines? They sell the 'buckle each side' nosebands separately, might be worth a look?

ETS: Ignore me completely!!!! I know they did them separately when I last bought a bridle from them 3ish years ago, but looking at the website it seems like they don't offer that any more. Sorry....

I've got a spare grackle you can borrow if you need to for the time being, it's elasticated though! it's sat doing nothing so just yell if you need it!

I had similar problems with Jaguar - I wanted a padded comfort headpiece to go with my bridle which was shown separately, with an item reference number, on their website. When I rang them they were equally curt saying that they only sold whole bridles now. When I pointed out that their website said the opposite they replied that their website was at least a year out of date ! That might also account for the fact that I've got an unemployed Jaguar grackle hanging in my garage...

To add to the cob-sized trend my 17.1 warmblood is in a cob-sized grackle and cheekpieces. He does have a very dainty head though.

None of which helps you at all! Hope you like your breastplate ;)

I'll be of no help whatsoever since I live in a different country haha

Shush - I do not need encouraging with my bridle addiction. And I am hankering after a Mark Todd one with brass fittings to match my Passier breastplate ;)

I have a Mark Todd grackle, it is LOVELY

My lovely 'oss is indeed in an extra full, but I have always had a sneaking suspicion he is part elephant so that's ok :p

Sc I have got a brown grackle sat in the tack room not doing anything atm, could post it down for you to borrow while you get yours altered if that helps

Southern Stars saddlery do bridles with nosenads that buckle on either side :) They are really lovely, but I don't think the grackle is raised.
