HHO horse hunting posse

Yeah, gotta faff with transport now. Wish I had my old trailer from the US. It was a two-horse slant load, but the partition could be clipped to the side so it became a loosebox on wheels with minimal faff. And it was a really low step-up, so they didn't have to cope with ramps. It was the choice trailers amongst my horsey friends for moving youngstock.

Excellent, congratulations! I didnt want to say it at the time but I did think a Highland was quite far out there in comparison to your current horse!

Yeah, everyone who knows me and Gypsum, in real life and online, told me they felt relieved when I said I'd shifted my search to PREs. I guess that means something.

Mine is hotter than a hot thing from a hot planet but heck she's fun, challenging me to improve my riding, and a real different experience I never thought was possible after over four decades. I wish you as much entertainment from yours.

.

Yeah, I imagine she will be entertaining when I climb on board.

I'm trying to sort out transport with Eric Gillies. Whenever they tell me they can. They're taking her older brother to Perth on March 4th. It will be then at the latest, but a week or so earlier would be nice. Her breeder will be doing some basic leading training in the interim, so my livery yard doesn't totally hate me.

Mine is also hotter then a hot thing and yet at the same time the safest horse in the world, always honest.

I had this idea a while ago that I would take a wee break from horses after Gypsum died and do some other things. Travel. More mountaineering. I don't know. But I panicked, watching Gypsum struggle through this winter, and got really scared and upset by the prospect of not having a horse. So I decided that not only was I definitely getting a horse, but that horse had to overlap with Gypsum.

Clearly, horses are like crack.

The horse has a lift to my yard on March 4th. It's a longer wait than I really fancied, but she gets to travel with her older brother, who's been bought by someone in Perth, and they will be on one of Eric Gillies' lorrys, which they'll set up as looseboxes on wheels. That seems nicer for the horse, and I need two horses with loading problems like a hole in the head.

Just popped in to say the reports of Dry Rot's demise are grossly exaggerated, just getting older and grumpier.

I still have a few Highlands (well, five to be exact. I need something to talk to) and nothing is for sale unless it is advertised on my web site (https://www.morrichponies.co.uk) or on Horsequest And none will be for awhile, so please do not ask.

Someone asked about JFTD's ponies: Morrich Darrach was bred on the farm but Upperlochton Fergus was bought in as a foal at foot.

I am now going back into reclusion (probably).
