Hi there!

Its been a while, I cant even remember how long its been since I told HHO how my ponies have been!

Dottie has been getting better from her tendon injury, which was almost 2 years ago now. She is mostly staying on the ground, as even though the vet said she could be back jumping again I don't feel up for it properly yet. So we have mostly been playing at dressage. We have been going for lessons with Adam Kemp and having a fun (ish) time pretending we are dressage people, we are faking it, but we don't care!!!

She still has her moments...

10437646_10152450187122109_1597734184387091885_n.jpg

But shes mostly a good egg!

I have recently started riding her in a double and its a huge improvement, especially now as she is so fit and strong and is learning exciting things like changes. On our last trip to Adam it was decided that this was the way forward for now. I said I felt too big for her (remember how fat I was before!) well Adam joked that I needed to eat more, to weigh more, just to be able to hold her!!

Once we have nailed the changes a bit more (one way is pretty trustworthy, the other is not so much!) we will go out straight at elementary...apparently!

I have jumped her a few times at home. She LOVES it and is so pingy, but Im not ready to do more, even though her leg apparently should be. She is just too precious to me. I think if I just jump her for fun at home occasionally then I will see how I feel in a while.

Her younger sister Belle started proper work over the winter and has been a mix of good, to sharp as anything!!! She is settling down a bit more now and working better, with less tomfoolery!! Here are some pics from over the winter...

She still had her moments which made me love my neck strap!!

But she also tried to be good!

We have had alarming moments when my toggle hit into my hat and made horse death noises

10989208_10152594925667109_8359611030409791807_n.jpg

She has been to some clinics

10991105_10152611133192109_7890553319714829577_n.jpg

And to dressage, where she did brilliantly (luckily shes much quieter to ride away from home!)

She got just under 70% in her intro and prelim tests and came 1st and 3rd

Adam says she needs to be more forward and more into the contact so we have been practicing that more recently

When Dot gets registered with BD so will Belle and we will see how we get on. I have tried jumping Belle and she loves it, but shes too tricky for me so I have decided against trying until she is more rideable! Everyone says she looks like a dressage diva so we will just see how it goes with her!

Proving that horses can be like boomerangs, THE COW IS BACK! Her mum got pregnant, so she came to the decision that the cow needed a new mum (there were many tears involved) so she has come back to me to ride for a bit and to advertise. She really is super and is a breath of fresh air being so sensible and lovely. I have cow horse love.

And even more recently I bought a new microhorse called Daisy! She is here to play with, with the hope of eventing her a little bit and then maybe looking for a new human for her. She was backed last year and did a bit with her previous owner and then had some time off. Shes a dude, even in the pouring rain!

Lovely update, some serious matchy there, looking great! I think cow horse had just gone at your last update - looking forward to seeing a few updates about her before she goes again. You have such a lovely bunch of horses!

What a fantastic update. They all look really good. Love all the pics and the matchy matchy, you can really give the sparkle sisters a run for their money. Your tack room must be festival of colour. Must admit, I have not seen camo bandages before.

Yes its been so busy here that I had almost forgotten about the forum!! I will try and do better!! They are good ponies, I loves them allllllllll.

I think they are beating me on saddlepads, but there are 2 of them!! It was pretty boring having Dottie broken and only baby ponies doing not much, so I confess that I did buy (waste!!) my money on pretty saddlepads that they didn't need!!!

Between my 2 friends and I, we have a lot of colourful stirrups!!! They are called Jin stirrups. I like them as they are mega lightweight (a must on the 2 little ones!)

We took a picture of them all the other day (because we are cool/losers ;))

So nice to see an update. They all look amazing, love the half pass pic of Dottie! You're such a good rider, I would never be able to sit Belle's antics. Ok, I thought I was bad with all the matchy, I must have 60+ sets, but how many do you have??? :D

P.s. you look amazing too, how did you lose all that weight?

It's the neckstrap that deserves the credit! I just close my eyes and hold on haha!!

Whispers <I probably have about the same> ;)

I counted calories. I had 1200 a day and was super healthy so I could save enough calories to have some gin and some sweets everyday!!

It was 3 years ago though! This picture came up on my timehop today and I mega cringed!! I almost can't remember being like that :(

Wow what an update. They look wonderful as always, you always inspire me to push on with my baby pony. With you on the neck strap a must on babies I think.
Daisy looks lovely though not very micro. What happened to the little grey you had?

Fab update, fab ponies, fab rider, FAB matchy matchy! :biggrin3:
When my boy was off and i suddenly found myself with too much time and more spare cash i hit a matchy spree but saddle cloths and ears instead of banages. I hope my next one doesnt need bandages as i dont think i could cope matching them, saddle cloths and ears!
Seriously like those Jins as well, the blue ones are lovely.

I'm glad it helps!! I love my neckstrap! It has kept me on my ponies a lot of times!!

She is micro!! Especially compared to Belle!

Thanks for saying!! I love the light blue jins the best, but they clash with almost everything! It's lucky that I embrace the clashing!!!

Thank you, that's really nice of you to say! The matchy jump was a fluke though!!!

Whispers <I do> ;)

Autumn went to live with a lovely girl, who works for, and is based with a pro event rider. So lovely Autie will hopefully be a wonder event pony. She's amazing, especially when you remember she was going to be culled in Ireland if I didn't have her :(

All looking and going so well! Great pictures, really enjoyed the update, and lots of inspiration for matchy matchy when we get going again. :) x

Yay for spreading the pony tat love!

Great pics. That's some serious dedication to the matchy matchness.

With broken horses and baby field potato horses, plus no training or competing there hasn't been much fun to be had, apart from pony tat haha

Lovely update!
I know she's tricky but Belle is bloody gorgeous! She does look like a fancy dressage pony!! Dottie always looks pretty and I &#9825; new micro pony. I am SO bored of feeling sick and pregnant constantly maybe I should distract myself with Matchy. I've been dealing in saddles which is pretty pointless considering I can't ride in any of them (and half don't fit anyway) it would probably be much more prudent to invest in some new saddle pads!
I love the Jin stirrups! I just bought the bow stirrups (bendy ones?!), they are still in the box but don't know if I want them now! There's a brand of stirrups here called Lorenzini which do tons of different colours and I'm wishing I bought the pink ones of those instead!
Anyway amazing what not being able to ride does! I look forward to seeing more cool.pics on FB and updates on here. Oh also I can't imagine you that big! You are so small and attractive in RL!

I've been watching your saddle dramas on fb, is saddle fitting over there loads different? Just for when I have to move out there too ;)

It is lucky she's gorgeous to make up for her moments. She's that funny mix of rather lazy, but explosive!! Lovely little minx <3

I cant remember being that big now. I look back at pictures of myself and think "omfg how did I not realise I looked that awful" haha. People must have cringed when I posted pictures on here! I certainly cringe now!!

I have a tiny, homebred, spottie pony to ride and fortunately she's better than anything fattening!!!
