I really hope this isnt an insensitive question, it's not meant to be. But what does taking a horse to the hunt mean? Apologies for my ignorance and Bounty, I hope you're ok x

Well, they can either come out to you, PTS (bullet) at home and then take the body away, or else you take the horse to them, and they lead it off the ramp and PTS immediately (this is what happened to our three). I have actually been 'behind the scenes' so to speak, as my dad (who was a farrier) used to take me with him to the kennels when he was on his rounds. They take all sorts - horses, cattle, sheep - and really the process is similar to what you would see in a slaughterhouse. What they can, they feed to hounds, and what they cant, they put into the incinerator. It isnt pretty...but someone has to do it; I think they offer a wonderful service.
