How far away are your horses from where you live?

about 1.8 miles. Takes 10 mins to drive in the morning. More so after work due to traffic but only about 20 - 30 mins. Still only 10 mins to get back in the eve after traffic has eased.

I can cycle, walk or get a bus if need be. I also live a 10 minute walk from work, so I have a very easy time of home/horse/work travelling. Very lucky.

25 miles each way, it's a proper commute which I've been doing for 11 years now .............. getting a bit of a drag to be honext!

2 ponies at home.....1 horse and a pony a 10 minute walk up a VERY steep hill or 2 minutes in the car :)

870 miles!

I fly down and I try to see them once a month or once every two months.

I haven't seen them in 3 due to work and I'm flying down on 21 June! I'm SOOOOOOO excited!

7 miles away - I visit once a day (assisted livery in winter) and tend to drive but also have the option of walking at the weekends which takes about 1 1/2 hours (dog likes this option best), cycling (not so good, there is a big hill and then I can't take the dog with me). Old yard was 14 miles away along motorway but was a great yard with fantastic hacking.

He was at a yard 2 miles from home but I've moved him to one that suits our interests more (dressage and showjumping) which is 25mins by car from home but only 5mins from work, so I ride at lunch every day and spend a few hours at the yard on the weekends. He has an easy life really! :)

6 miles (and about 15 minutes) from home, and it's on my way/way home from work. I go once/twice a day. :)

Mine is on full livery on a yard about 7 miles from home. About 12 - 15 minutes by car. I only go once a day, usually in the afternoons.

So jealous of you folk who live so close! (or have them at home).

I live in the city, so it's about 30 - 40 minute drive (can be an hour during peak traffic).

It is annoying and costs a fortune in petrol but tbh it would be the same going to any other yard - they're all on the outskirts of the city in each direction. Still trying to convince the other half to move further out of town, but it's not working so far! :/

about 50 yards :) although I have additional grazing which is one mile away and some more 2 miles away. The worst was having them DIY, 12 miles in the opposite direction to work which was already a 30 mile commute from house. That was tough in the winter (and expensive!).

About 7 mins by car. Yard is not far but not on a bus route as they tend not to be. Have used buses to get to yards in the past but found it really hard, especially on dark nights when evening service was patchy plus you can' t transport tack etc

two miles. ten minutes by car, 30 minutes walk, no bus services. i know times sound a lt for such a short distance but not good routes there. wish i were a crow.

Mine are five miles from my home. Recently passed my driving test so I now drive to and from, but before that it'd be two buses there and back every eve (and mornings on days off in the winter)

Ax

About 7 miles away from home.. Mainly dual carriageway so can do it in 10 mins though can do a country lane route too. In summer I go once a day. Winter twice usually although lovely yard and everyone helps each other so if can't get there, someone will always see to pony and vice versa.
