Depends on what time of year it is! In the summer I probably school twice, jump once and hack the rest. In the winter I can only hack or jump on weekends so stuck in the school during the week.
At the moment I hack about 4 times a week and school twice, I jump about once every other week. When I hack I tend to school so not sure if that make a difference!
As often as i can, which is not often anough, Weather, work , house and garden dictate when i can , only hacking and schooling at the moment not jumping tho.
When eventing works 10 days then has a day off, of those 10 days school twice hack the rest Will jump a couple of days before the day of the event, allways has day before event off and day after. Will let him down now eventing has finished will give him a month off
I try to work horse every day although in reality with work commitments and weather it is more like 5-6 days a week.
I don't have a set routine of hacking/ jumping/ schooling/ lungeing, tend to go with how the mood takes me. I do hack more in summer and school more in winter as there is not enough daylight to hack before or after work. Also try to get to the beach for gallop work reasonably often.
Usually hack once a week, school three or four times a week, lunge once or twice a week and jump once every two weeks. I do more hacking in summer. She gets one or two days off a week depending on how lazy i am being.
Depends on if we're competing, going for a lesson or if we are likely to do much more hunting. Also depends on time of year!
In the summer/light nights, I hack 3x a week, school once and lesson once, or school twice, long rein once and then either jump or maybe compete the other. He also goes on the walker 2-3 times a week as he's a fattie.
In winter, hack once at weekends, maybe twice. I try to get to the yard early enough one evening in the week for a short hack, otherwise I do one v early morning (yard usually do him a.m.) and hack a second time. This winter I plan to school once or twice (inc. a lesson, if I have one), LR once or twice, jump or poles once, and hunt maybe once every 3 weeks.
Sadly I don't get to ride as much I would like - though pony is not complaining!
In the winter I only ride at weekends or if I have a day off work as it is just to dark to do anything safely in the evenings and I don't tend to get to the yard till 6.45pm after work. I have a living out pony who tends to maintain a basic level of fitness from living out on a hill. In the winter what we do depends on the weather - tend to do at least one long hack of more than one hour on one day and then may school or go to a RC club rally or dressage test on the other day (though we both prefer hacking to schooling really). I probably jump twice a month.
In the summer I can do a bit more and ride 3-4 times a week. Mainly hacking out as I like to take advantage of the nice weather and I don't like riding in the school if it is dusty. Also he does a bit of M&M showing and WHP classes.
We also try and have a weeks hacking holiday where we go away with a friend and her horse.
On a normal week depending on work, hack 2 to 3 times school once, the weekend hack can be 3 to 5 hours long, or if it's a pleasure ride a 12 15 18 mile ride.
I would say a normal week would be long ride Sunday 3 to4 hours, wednesday or thursday 1.5 hour hack, friday school with 20mins cool off hack around park, Saturday possible short ride to warm up for Sunday.
Lot depends on work weather and how knacked I am or if shoe lost etc.
I don't really enjoy hacking...
I school most days, hack if I can at weekend usually as well as a shorter schooling session, try to jump once-twice a week (with 1-2 days off)
