How much did you pay for your horse?

Bailey cost £6500, 15.3hh 9yr old gelding, bought for his eventing record really. His dressage and sj aren't exactly wonderful but he has 14 clears xc at PN

Our best bargain was a £600 13hh coloured pony we bought for my younger sister when she was about 9yrs old. He was barely broken, used to tank of with her and buck her off all the time - absolute hooligan. In the end he was Pony magazine vip pony, he won practically every coloured class he ever entered, did all pc teams, hunted etc. We had offers of over £3000 for him but what was more important than the money was the fact that he taught my sister how to really ride.

If I decide to buy one of the ones I have now (which I will, he's got a lot of potential) then £4,000 for a, 8 year old PRE Andalusian gelding who is pretty well behaved, but still likes to be kept on his toes! I'll be showing him this season.
