How to paint White hooves black

My horse has black and white hooves which annoys me to be honest when going to shows. I would love him to have pure black feet and I was wondering if there is any type of hoof oil that turns hoofs completely black ? thanks x

Tbh I think you'd be better off using clear hoof oil. He has black and white hooves, you can't change that. Lots of horses do

I would just stick to clear hoof oil, but if your really desperate all i can think of is spray paint

Absorbine Hoof Polish will make them black.

But really it just doesnt look right when you paint white feet black...

Fab stuff but DO NOT get it on you, it is a bugger to get of skin and will stain your clothes, my horse seems to take great pleasure in making my hand jet black

One of mine has ermine marks so she has the most beautiful stripy hooves, i really like them We use good old hoof oil or if i m rushing to get to the showring, lynne russells hoof spray

If you do use these polishes/absorbine make sure you take them straight off after show as they dont allow walls to breathe, sorry if i state the obvious

I find a lot of judges dont like this blackening hooves pratice it is againstrules to change the appearence ie colour ect so really shouldnt be done and to be honest it looks false and silly ,i admit i did it to mine once it looked so false ,if your showing i really wouldnt do hun x

Effol is a very dark black, I used the black one by accident on a coloured and it turned her hooves black

It's many judges pet peeve - you might end up down the line for it !! Embrace the stripy hoof x

If u want to do it and lots of pros do cheap shoe polish the kind in a dispenser works brilliantly and no mess too

I use black paint, makes the hoofs nice and shiney, however my horse decided to stretch whilst paint still wet = stripey black legs
