I can’t help but think A vet would say that as they want to money for scoping! They can’t see if they have back ulcers even with a scope
It is really sad that people genuinely think like that. Vets are there to investigate disease and provide the best outcomes for the horse. If the owner queries ulcers then of course they're going to suggest scoping, It is the only way to provide a differential diagnosis.
