support and as a lawyer badly drafted legislation drives me round the bend
I too agree with this statement.
I have never actually understood why anyone gets pleasure from going out purposefully to kill any other animal (it's just not in me to do this) but yet I understand the tradition and reasons behind hunting and get that it can help improve the general health of foxes as theoretically it was the sick and old that would be caught BUT the hunts have not helped their cause by getting caught sending terriers down holes or indeed digging out a fox that has gone to ground. That in my opinion is unfair and is just bloodthirsty and is why I can see why there are so many anti hunt people about when those scenes have been captured on video and showed in their gruesome entirety.
If the question should read DID you agree with hunting with hounds pre ban, my answer would be no.
Post ban I am coming more around to it as I now know a lot more about it
Against.
Always have been, always will be.
There are better ways to control 'vermin' than chasing it across country with a pack of hounds. Agree with some of the comments re if the fox has gone to ground then it should be left, not dug out with terriers etc. Don't get me started on stag hunting.
Oh, and I am a farmers daughter too............
If you want to enjoy the thrill of the chase, galloping across open country, jumping hedges / ditches etc then go drag hunting or something. There really is no justification in hunting for vermin control. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea but just can't justify me going hunting just to experience the riding element.

OFG, I hope you don't have to sit back, that is your opinion, which I respect.
