I just bought my first cob! Introduction + feed advice + photos!

Rigs had a bit of a near miss the other night and got cast.

I like the slight HuH he gives, when he realises he made an error. Then he has a fight to try to right himself, then pauses and another HuH as he thinks of his options.

He is none the worse for wear, not a single scratch on him.

I always insist on bottom bolts being done up, because if it hadn't been, he could have lost his leg through the gap he'd have kicked for himself, then the door would have snapped back. Fortunately, the door is solid with good bolts!

Good lad for not panicing and going 'ok so plan a didn't work, what's plan b'.

Love your boxes Red, they look properly built all round.

Same old, same old here. The fields are flooded so Rigs is confined to his stable/patio arrangement. he is going out every few days as well, mainly ride and lead.

I had a challenge, the road round the village was flooded, doing ride and lead, so I thought a trot through the flood whilst also videoing and holding 2 horses was in order!

Got to love mannerly boys!!!

You crazy woman! I love that.

I have PM'ed you. Not sure why you can't get me?
It wouldn’t let me when I looked you up on members. When I selected you from the drop down list it kept saying the second attachment, same when I tried to click on your name on the above reply. Weird.

Well....

Something exciting and unexpected has happened...

I have a boyfriend.

6 months after Mr Red died, and I have met a wonderful man who I believe will be significant in my life long term. I'll call him BF (boyfriend).

BF has never handled horses but agreed to take Rigs for a walk. He'd never so much as picked a foot up but is a craftsman and sees patterns and is a quick learner. He watched a video one day and then just... went and trimmed.

Things are going really well. I am very happy.
