Getting fed up now - thinking of building an ark :)
Not really rode all week -
Long lined a pony yesterday - dont think he liked that very much as got a bit wet ! fun ride on Saturday has been cancelled - horses back in winter paddocks ! Every time I go out I get soaked - hows everyone else finding things ?

I would have been, but I need to talk woof to the vets (nothing serious, just a check-up).
Honestly I'm kinda glad I managed to get out of it :P

haven't rode since monday :( managed to lunge between downpours on wednesday but so disappointed because have been doing so well lately, riding 6 days a week.
Feel a little like I will be starting again with our weight loss program.
I'm sure my boy doesn't mind, he is still stood in the middle of the field munching so no hiding under the trees for him :)

I hacked out on Tuesday in torrential rain!!! I was wearing by long Musto trench coat thingy though so stayed dry and snug!

Also managed to school last night in gale force winds, luckily before the rain hit. Horse was a bit skittish to start with but soon settled.

Nope, too much wind and far too many old trees! I don't want to ride enough to risk us both getting squished!!

Hacked Wednesday night in the absolute pouring rain and got completely and utterly saturated as had no waterproofs on doh.

Schooled last night in waterproof coat but bottom half was just soaked right through to my knickers :o and face was soaked from rain dripping off hat into my face etc.

Am not riding tonight, bugger it. It's just ridiculous. Will ride tomorrow though.

Yep - just been schooling! High wind and lots of rain - I figure the horse has to be able to cope with all conditions at a dressage competition so they may as well get used to it at home!

did a bit of schooling on mon and tues and i had lesson yesterday morning in about the only bit of sunshine there was so not doing too bad!

I rode my new mare for the first time yesterday morning. Was going to ride today but she had the dentist last night so no riding until Sunday.

I hacked out in it yesterday, got a schooling session at 5. Got to ride as 3 counties in 7 days and he needs to be going well!

Did Dressage on Wednesday but ponio has been having a bit of back trouble and so hasn't been ridden anyway- Sunday I'm show jumping on him though so it had better be drier then!!

I'm going to make you all hate me now as my yard has an indoor school and a covered arena :) but I did attempt dressage in a hurricane on Sunday - it did not go well :(

I love having an indoor;) shame horse never works well in there:p
I Don't mind the riding in the rain part its when you get off and your soaked though and freezing cold and still need to do the yard jobs and feed- now thats the worse part:p

I've ridden two everyday this week. The new one I'm riding only in the school though. The old chap has been going out and about in all weathers. Poor old lad - he see the saddle and hides in the corner of his field if it's raining. Might school him later though as the roads have bits of tree all over them today which is going to be incredibly scary!

It is tiresome. But I don't mind riding in the rain when its warmer weather as I find it quite refreshing as I tend to get hot when I ride on account of all the blubber that surrounds me :)

Tonight I am looking forward to having a slow steady canter up the hill on our field in the rain. He wasn't quite sound on Monday and Tuesday and the vet thinks its his arthritis playing up so I gave him a couple of days off but Wednesday and Thursday he was miracously sound so I'm making the best of him whilst I can!

At the end of the day you never know what's round the corner, so I enjoy him ride him and compete him as much as we both enjoy and whilst we both can! :)

Last rode wednesday......taking the opportunity to give Shy some time off, as he has a brand new field mate to play with, and I'm doing cleaning at stuff at the yard.

I rode Tuesday and was going out weds night so I thought I'd ride last night but Nadia was flying round the field when i went to get her in so i passed on that one and with all this wind and rain, I'll not be riding tonight either.

everyone on my yard thinks im nuts for riding out in all weathers. As long as we both have our waterproofs on and are nice and warm nothing fazes me.
Except hail. We both dont do that.
Ive rode everyday so far this week. But currently im nice and warm in pj's haveing a lazy day and weather helps with the staying in part :)

havent ridden for a week since i had an unscheduled meeting with the ground and buggered my thumb up - I now have some movement back in it but have stuck to lunging in this weather as if he tanks off will be back to square one with dicky thumb. Hoping to be out on the quantocks tomorrow but only if wind dies so can trailer out.
