TBH laura has been about a long time, and often posts threads like this. ;)

I dont feel anyone was overly horrible to you, sometimes you have to look within yourself when the tinest things upset you.

Not at all, just hoped people may think alittle before posting. :o Also sorry if it seems you are being singled out I was just saying how you started off with constructive crit that was nice but then it wasn't so polite. And I never called anyone idiots that was someone else ;) I just said prity much what I've said here. :) On the thread in question you moaned that I didn't respond to negative comments but now (as was the case on the thread) when I do respond thats wrong to. I don't want to fall out with anyone :(

Because you so often "offer up advice" when its not asked for or wanted, and yet have been none so keen to accept such comments on your own threads be it in your current guise or previous user name where plenty of flouncing went on! :rolleyes:

Oh and for what its worth I'm not normally one to join in such threads but couldn't help it when I opened another completely unrelated thread (having got bored of the way this one was heading) that asked for neither opinion or advice and there you were again jumping in with another "can I just offer you a piece of advice" What you offered advice on couldn't even be seen properly in the picture and as it turned out the poster had a perfectly good reason for doing it the way she was.

Sometimes, I think you and I are very similar, Billie. One of the reasons I love Laura's posts are that she always finds something nice to say. I'm just not a positive, nice enough person for that, and I wish I could be. (I do try, honest!)

I probably also commented on that thread as I recall the video being rather unfortunate and feeling that Herbie could have been better prepared (hairy and fitness issues!) and Laura could have ridden more quietly. In hindsight, I would also say that I have many (many) videos where I think the same of myself riding and the only difference is I wouldn't put it up here. Fair's fair - if you deal it out to others, you should recognise it in yourself too - and that I can do.

I don't know all the details of ins and out but if she is touchy so what everyone has a right to express a view and to say if the views of others upset them. Not everyone is as tough as the toughest on here and if this girl isn't then it would be nice to cut her some slack.

Once she gets to be an old cow like me things like that matter less but they do when you are young and want approval more.

Nuff said off to fight with my gander and put him to bed ...
 
I can be a bit hard sometimes, mainly because i have a lot on my plate and a little 'cold' in real life too atm. :) Trying to keep it together for a family of six is hard ;)


FWIW, i love herbie, and you obviously love him. I never agreed with the whole 'if you call him horrid you subconsciously hate him'... :o

He is very lucky to have found you.

That vid made me want to cry, I've been a bit emotional lately I think I'm going through the change :( I have to agree with LauraWheeler, but I'm a bit of a newbie on here still so .. yah know. There is such a thing as constructive criticism and downright rudeness. If someone posts a dressage vid and you don't like their way of going it's not a reason to insult someone, if someone doesn't like your opinion, it's not a reason to insult someone, if you like barefoot, shod, want a comment on conformation, some people have bad grammar/spelling have a horse kept on its own for whatever reason there is no reason to be insulting, nasty or downright vindictive. I've seen it on here and I hope/try not to rise to it. I think there are trolls on every forum and I believe that trolling is not categorized by how long the user has been a member.

He's doing well thanks. Done two prelim dressage tests recently and got 59% and 56.7% both in an indoor school and he had never been in one before so very proud of him. HHO is getting worse. Apparently i'm a crap rider and an awful uncaring owner. Well that's what I've been told on my latest post anyway ;P Hope alls well with you. x

Then other poeple posted stuff and someone else called everyone a bunch of idiots. That certanly wan't me ;)
 
No there is no reason to be nasty just because. But I'm not seeing that too much. And also I read something from certain posters and think to myself they may just be having a bad day because that's not their norm.

So really I never try to judge based on one post. And hey, if someone is critical of me I may try and see their point. Honestly, I'm not all that. I need a good curb chain now and again. Take a pull, take a pull......

Must admit I agree with Justabob Op has always had good responses on here, even when her old mare was seriously ill and had to be put down, you are doing a good job with a difficult pony but there again so are many of us doing the same thing and not looking for glory.
 
Oh and also, one can trash talk me all they want. You trash talk my horses and then I bring crazy to a whole nother level!

Mums gone to get dad. Apparrently he is sore :rolleyes: Of course, he's had bowel surgery! Ill be glad to have him home but shocked tbh!
