Buy a freisian
This is so so true! 3 broken ponies but all very beautiful out in the field. It’s useful to have something you at least like looking at in the field in case it breaks![]()

Open to from15- 16 but can’t find any at 15!Why does it have to be 16.2 if you’re used to and happy with smaller?
Yes I missed out on a dales and there is a young fresian cob cross but 10k untriedThat's why I have three bays with minimal white, but it turns out clay is lighter coloured than bays, so I threw in a buckskin to see if she's any better!
Only joking, colour wasn't a factor in horse choice (or non choice in the case of the homebred)
On the bright side, OP, there are whole breeds of (nearly) only black horses, fells, dales, friesians, merens...
What are the prices of those? Saw 16 h for 10k untriedBuy a freisian
Exracer.Am looking for black (ideally!!) 15-15.3 ideally 4-7 yo looking for an all rounder happy to bring on so long as fairly safe and sensible! Mainly looking to do xc
It depends what they’ve done but 10k is probably about right for an ok unstarted horseWhat are the prices of those? Saw 16 h for 10k untried
Far too many health problems for my liking. It depends what they’ve done but 10k is probably about right for an ok unstarted horse
I've known two plus the crossbred offspring of one of those, just drop dead.Fresians are all horribly inbred

Would also avoid Friesians after my friend’s mare dropped dead from the weird genetic issues they have.I've known two plus the crossbred offspring of one of those, just drop dead.
It almost sound like you like black so much because of Jet. But he is also a cob, a nice height, sensible. So maybe you really like him for those last 3 traits.Yes I know it makes sense it is just a colour. I’m not aiming for badminton grassrootsbut I think part of it is how much joy my heart horse has given me in 20 years. He’s black with a star on his forehead. I love seeing him canter across the field. He’s a cobby type but gorgeous. Admittedly when I got him I wasn’t looking for a black horse just a sensible one! I’m not in any rush and I still ride him a few times a week he’s just retired from jumping clinics etc and having a nice hacking life with me now. I’ll make that list!
Out of interest has anyine gone up from 15/2 to 16/16.2?
