It’s too small and too young

Mr Poiuytrewq has just got a bit shi*** with me.
Apparently I am repeating myself and we have had the same conversation for 4 weeks now.
*I did point out this has been going on in my head for about 6!

Barney- Dragon driving and Horse mart.
I just love him, I love his face, I’m not a cob person but I adore this pony.

So, I’ve looked into youngstock livery and other options. I’ve looked into gelding, it’s been so long since I paid for that I had no idea on costs, I’ve searched the hell out of the seller (and am very happy with what I’ve found.
We have sounded out transport. (OH actually did that bit)

So the thing is, I’m 9.5 stone and 5’3
If this was to make 14/14.2 I’d have him here already. 13hh on horse mart 13.2 DD.
Im used to 16.2
The size is just not going to work is it?
 
I went out looking for a 14hh + and bought a 13.2 stout fell. I'm 5'6 and was probably about 10 stone. Gone down 2 dress sizes since buying with all the riding 😆 and I keep my tack lightweight. The only worry I had was saddle size but she takes a 16.5 which I find comfy.
 
He’s beautiful!
I’m pretty steady weight wise. I put on a few lbs now and then but loose it fairly easily.
I’ve never ridden anything that small though and am worried I’ll be too big.
I’m happy to think outside the box, maybe driving but I’m not really keen on that idea. I love long reining, I’d not be adverse to agility type stuff.
I’m in my early 40’s though and hear that’s a bad stage for weight gain that’s not as easily controllable 🤷‍♀️
I’ve cut down a lot on my horse work, freelance type stuff and now very much enjoy just doing mine more.
 
I can’t really advise as I bought my little cobby colt from DD a couple of years ago and I love him! Second purchase from DD actually and both have turned out great.

He’s far too small for me really but as he’s only 2 I have a while to think about what my plans are for him.

Do it. You only live once and can always sell down the line :)

No I know, I keep checking back thinking obviously he’s sold.
I just live my horse life on the edge! I don’t have a back up, this is fine because they are insured or Mr P steps up in an emergency.
I can’t grab money at the click of a finger though. That said had he been 14hh ad I say I’d have already called

There's nothing to stop you calling and finding out a bit more.
