Fence judging at Somerford on Saturday. Looking forward to it. I love fence judging the 80/90 classes so looking forward to a good day !
I'm 120 in section C, and my friend is 68 in B.
Feel free to shout obscenities or anything else at me as I pass (assuming I get that far ?) I'll be totally oblivious anyway ?. I'm pretty sure you could throw rocks at me and I wouldn't notice

I will be in a sign written white pickup ( Ford Ranger) with a flask of tea and stacks of biscuits. When i see you and your friend i will give you a cheer (as you've sailed over the jump with the greatest ease.)

I've got a lesson on Amber on Saturday. She's had two this week with the trainer mainly riding, and shock news. If you ride her between hand and leg, she goes really well and is fine with the outdoor school. I know only 30+ years of riding, and I still struggle with the basics :D I've ridden at the end of each session and it's been good, so I hope to make the most of that on Saturday, weather permitting. The new indoor is nearing completion, so we can work on getting her settled in there.
Also, getting back profiles done for both Amber and Daisy to send off to the western saddle fitter as she's visiting in about 3 weeks to check fit, and it's a long journey. So the more info I can send in advance, the more productive her visit is. Thankfully the lovely English saddle fitter who is also a livery will do those for me as I'm rubbish at them.
Weather permitting, I might hack Amber out tomorrow morning too.
Daisy is off games at the moment, but plans are now set in place to remedy that over the next few weeks, as long as I remember to measure her back feet this evening. I've been supposed to do that every day this week so far! If I leave it any longer, it will be too long since trimming to be worthwhile.

I’m in rainy York seeing in laws so no plans with my own pony but I am going to visit the yard I have decided on for when we move here to have another look around, work out the storage to make sure all my crap fits and if I need to do some de cluttering! Also going to take Mabel for a walk from there so I can have a nosey at the hacking. going to have a look at local tack/feed shops too (any recommendations from HHOers of North Yorkshire?!).

More hand walking Rose and generally giving her some love. She's being so good as long as there's nothing to be silly about (long list of potential problems available if anyone interested!). OH and I are spending day with younger daughter in Cardiff tomorrow, OH will do jobs whilst we walk dogs although weather looks dreadful again. Is anyone else ready to emigrate to a desert? I have my first live pilates on Saturday and am looking forward to seeing friends. Hacking out the ex FEI pony on Monday, he may be getting on in years but he's still a very willing ride. Very good friend rang me last night and offered me hacking out and schooling, both horses are very well schooled and very suitable for me so I am very excited. I've had a very difficult year as my older daughter is very ill and at times it's felt quite overwhelming so it's lovely to have something to look forward to.
I hope the weather doesn't spoil people's plans and good luck. Actually thinking of doing some fence judging, did a bit years ago and enjoyed it. Have a lovely weekend!

Turns out Madame didn’t get away with last week’s antics scott-free - she’s done her check ligament so I have rehab rehab and more rehab to look forwards to over the next few months. It’s looking like a relatively minor strain at the moment so fingers x-ed she won’t be off for too long.

On a happier note, Blue had a fab second lesson with Charlie Hutton yesterday. We had a play with one of the harder elementary tests that Raz has coming up and he didn’t disgrace himself so I think we might attempt to do one in public a bit sooner than planned now that we seem to have found some of the necessary buttons for this dressage malarkey.

Raz has his second lesson with his new trainer tomorrow so hoping we’ll get to run through E53 and M75 to see what’s needing polished we attempt them in public.

Henry will probably do more polework as he enjoys it and then I won’t have to work too hard to get him moving forwards ?

good luck to everyone out competing this weekend ?

Well I am just home from Hospital, having been rushed in on Monday with suspected perforated appendix (really at my age) anyway whipped them out Monday night and home now. No driving for at least 2 weeks and no riding for at least 4-6 weeks. Absolutely bloody lovely. Dont even feel like a drink. Roll on summer:p

SJ clinic for Bog on Sunday. Might box somewhere hacking tomorrow weather depending.

Boggle is being exceptionally well behaved to hack now he’s out and about twice a week or so. He’s much more enjoyable ?
Our first outing after lockdown Charlie pretty much ran up the trailer ramp, and whiffled to himself the entire time, we've often said that we think he enjoys going out places and doing things and apparently he really does.

Milbry Hill in Sutton on the Forest is quite useful if you're up that way, but it's not very big. Ditto Robinsons (not *that* Robinsons, a small one run by BATA) in Malton. If you're feeling rich Beaver Horse Shop in Harrogate (by Harlow Carr) is very nice. For basics Thompsons in Murton (just off the York East ringroad roundabout) is handy, it's really just a feedstore but they sell hay and staw, basic tack, doggy bits too.

I am doing essentially sod all this weekend, pony has still not fully kicked the cough so we can't do anything much. Might go for a little potter out but that'll be it. And pick up some second hand saddles as part of the ongoing miserable saddle quest. Oh dear....I am very grumpy :-( The rain and wind don't help.

ownedbyaconnie, depending on where you're moving to if you ever want company for hacking drop me a message, I have a lovely steady cob and (it would seem) no one to ride with at the moment. We're just a bit up North of York. I am not normally such a miseryguts either!
