The judge has repeated form for being very lenient!! I agree she should have served prison time!

I agree. Lives were put at risk and lessons need to be learned. Her job and being a single parent should not make her exempt. At the very least she should be carrying out service in the community.

Blatant disregard for health and safety. Why do we have to wait until someone commits manslaughter to jail them, aren’t repeat breaches of regulation enough…

Repeated intentional negligence warrants prison IMHO.
There’s a hotel near us they have repeated serious breaches of health and safety rules including a far far more serious breech of fire regulations than IT a they are still waiting for the sentence for that , in mean time they have been closed for a serious rat Infestation which posed a immediate and serious threat to human health .
This been going on for years .
No one ever been imprisoned .
They should simply be made unable to run a business .

Yes- which is a poor show really. 'I hope the industry can learn' - when you have already had a fire visit and disregarded the advice you can't call that 'learning'. Learning would be changing after your advice visit. It's not even a proper apology - 'I regret' is really I regret being caught.

Not only this Izzy Taylor H&H article but similar lack of immediate information on H&H regarding the Helgstrand TV programs in Denmark. The forum was discussing for weeks before any article was on H&H.

I still subscribe but do find the forum more informative than the magazine a lot of the time.

The inexcusable bit in all of this for me is the lack of rectifying immediately after the mistake, which can only be deemed a mistake up until she was first made aware of the breaches, was brought to her attention. Fair enough she may not have realised she had an issue, but once she did she had a duty of care to deal with it.

How she can say she hopes this shines a light H&S law in the industry having wilfully disengaged with authorities and failed to comply with the law, resulting in a criminal conviction that was avoidable had she taken action, is beyond me.

Might just be me but that article was a bit tone deaf, especially when she goes on about top horses and upcoming season. Gives the impression she couldn't care less, which may or may not be true.

The fact she couldn't care less was actually part of her lawyers defence. Apparently she's 'such a focused athlete' that she can't possibly bother her self with such mundane things as ensuring her staff are safe 😏

HA HA she has always been very focused...... Leaving yards not having paid the rent until chased......
Another example: Ignoring explicit directions from the organisers for competitors at Blenheim 2021 and 2022 to not enter the ROR Dressage area/ring while the ROR dressage competition was being held. She chose to march through the ROR dressage area/ring with her entourage when competitors were riding their tests both years on both days. I was not there 2023 so cannot comment about that competition.
