Good god.

I have just sat and read this entire thread in complete shock of the attitudes of some members...

Katie is a hard working young mother. She was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she worked hard for years, she did a job many frowned upon and that people still judge her for doing. She worked for everything she has... why is every1 so against this?? Surely in the modern 'sod work... ill get the dole' mind-set a 'celeb' that has earned everything herself is a good person to have in the public eye??

Some people on here need to get over themselves a bit! She got her tits out... big deal. If I didnt have such a horrid belly I would do the same! Maybe it's a generational thing?? I certainly know that no one i know in my age group (im 20) thinks less of someone for taking topless pictures!

As for her riding, she is far better than me! And probably alot of the people who sit on here and bitch about her to anyone who will listen! It takes serious skill to ride horses of that level!

HER money is HER money. She earnt it in a way horsy snobs may dissprove of but at least she earnt it... it didnt come straight out of daddys pocket! (Im sure there are a fair few people on here who cant say that of themselves - myself included!) If KATIE (jordan was her glamour modelling name) choses to buy top horses who the hell are we to do anything other than wish her luck and turn a nice shade of green??

Equestrianism is far too well known for the snobbery demonstrated on this thread, the equine industry will flop... just like any other industry if more people do not become interested! Surely in this credit crunch when we are already seeing horses being sold off as owners can no longer afford to keep them, extra publicilty is needed?!?

Shoot me down if you like KP haters - I frankly do not give a toss.

Well said LittlemissLauren! I think I agree with all of your points!

Someone else mentioned the Whitakers.... about how being born with that sirname certainlygves you a pretty hefty leg up into the SJ world...how true... no one is questioning their ability to ride (They certainly can! lol) but I don't see people bemoaning the fact that the young Whitakers are bought the best ponies on the circuit from day one...? Yet because KP uses her hard earned pennies to buy herself some bloody good horses she is slated.

Let those of us without sin, cast the first stone.....In other words are we all so bl**dy perfect in our day to day lives, that we can condemn a hard working mother of 3 so easily.....Shame on us.....Whatever happened to *live and let live*...

Says it all!!
How many have posted on other threads on this forum about being bitched at by other riders at their livery yards etc yet have given KP the same treatment on this one?
Any difference? except perhaps that its faceless on here.

Another vote for her, because she is not the only one who has bought a made horse, & if anyone of us had the chance we all would. I say good for her it is her money the horses are well looked after so what business it is of ours god only knows.

Good on her, as many have said, if you could afford to buy a ready made horse you would.....
Let's face it, to be really competivitive a good horse costs a lot of money these days (recession or not). And don't shoot me down, I know of a number of riders and the money partners / parents have invested to try and get said person onto a team - and we're talking 6 figures.
She'll learn a great deal, and she has a trainer who will help her, she hasn't just started riding, she's been doing it since she was a child.
It won't do the sport any harm, she's just doing what those that can, do.....

Its great that someone is putting money into the UK with regards to horses, that she is trying to learn and do well. I think EVERYONE should be encouraged to have a go in a welcoming environment.

However, I would have been much more impressed if she arrived quietly and had a go. The issue I have is that our sport if full of ppl who work and train hard, we are totally dedicated and there are some insparational riders, yet over night she has become the face of horses. All loud, cheap and pink. I, personally dont think she is a deserving ambassidor of the horse world.

definitely entitled to spend her money on what she likes, cant say i agree with having something silly like 10 horses when you have kids etc etc but hey its up to her, also do have to say the KP range leaves somewhat to be desired and while yes if i had the money i would invest in good training i would much rather train the horse myself than just buy an animal ready made tbh.

either way she needs to name her horses better, i mean for gods sake i think 'Jordans' Pretty Boy' is borderline abuse lol

Why on earth shouldn't she have as many horses as she wants. If she can afford to keep them (and still feed, house and clothe her family etc) and has the time to look after them - or pay someone else to, then what on earth is the problem?
