So, we were doing ok, then i started losing it; then a big junp, i lost a stirrup and exited stage right.

Landed on my back. Lower back hurts (sad face). I'm typing this lying on a sofa bed. Can't sit down properly, seems to affect my breathing. Walking is ok (happy face).

Please excuse the picture overload!! Two people taking pictures and I'm not up to sorting them :o. There was only one fall lol.

I'm going to have some jumping lessons on Big Cob. Dizz and I are going back to the diddy stuf. I'm going back to my other saddle (this one is on loan). D1 is going to have jump lessons on Dizz and teach her the basics :)

I salute you! Think I've only ever popped the odd cross pole, never a straight because they scare me :(

Well done! Looks like you both worked really hard at it.

In regards to your fall - I feel your pain! I fell off last night :(

Oh Mrs M Hope you feel ok!

But you do look fantastic together! looks like you enjoyed yourself (before the fall obviously) Hope your back feels better soon.:):)

Ouchies, hope you're OK

Don't be so hard on yourself, you were looking great until you came off!

Gentle hugs, hope you heal quickly :)

ETA - I'm another one who has come of this week, mine was because Charlie slammed on the breaks (due to a scary leaf  ) during a flat out gallop

Ouch. That is probably the reason I don't jump anymore! That and the fact the fat ginger one does quite enough damage to me on the flat.
The look on Dizzys face is of the utmost concern to gve her her due. She seems very concerned Mum is disappearing out the side door. Hope your injuries are short lived.

What a shame - it looked like it was going so well up until then.

It does look rather an elegant dismount. Problem is if you're anything like me, I don't bounce so well any more! I think a nice hot bath and a large glass of wine is called for.
Hope you feel better soon.

It all looked to be going so well! I'm sure you'll be back at it soon.

Hope the back is feeling better soon and I like the photo of Dizzy's mane blowing in the wind like a L'Oreal advert! :)

Such a shame, it looked to be going brilliantly up to that point! Well done for doing all those jumps and maybe a visit to the physio to sort you out and you'll be ready for more!

Doesn't the Dizzy one look well these days?
What a shame you came off, all looked to be going well until then.
I do hope you feel better soon, look after yourself!
Perhaps better have a hot choccy, or 2!

Thankies all :D

Gentle hugs and hot choccies to all battered and dented ones.

I couldn't get my knees in properly :(. Dizz was putting in some stonkers! D1 jumped her after I came off and Dizz got even her airbourne a couple of times :eek::rolleyes:

Oh Mrs M, you poor thing, and you were looking so comfortable and happy! I hope that your back is not too bad, have you got any arnica? I'm terrified of doing the same these days and my tiny 9 year old daughter is now jumping my cob at home and making a far better job of it than I ever did. She's popping round 2'9-3' courses and I struggle with anything over 2' these days. ho hum, such is life, I hope you are feeling less sore tomorrow...

Gentle ((hugs)) for you MrsM

You have my sympathies for landing on your back but at least you haven't fractured your ankle like I did :o :p

I think you looked absolutely great going over the jumps until that elegant sideways dismount :D

Ahh what a shame you looked to be going great guns untill then, your looking like a real partnership now keep ya chin up!! Dizzy looks super too!!

If your having problems breathing when your sat down you havent hurt a rib have you? Might be worth getting it checked out? xx

Oooh spectacular dismount Mrs M! Hope a bath and some rest/superlative painkillers sorts your back out. Second Keltic's thought re the rib.

Don't let it put you off, you've gone from single teeny weeny jumps to something much more challenging in a short time. Dizz has such long legs it must be hard to make her work without making you feel the jumps are 6ft high.

hey mrs M, looking good, i think maybe all that happened is that she got in to close and gave a really big jump as you look super in every other photo :D i get unseated when taz puts a big jump in every now and again over fillers and stuff.

What a lovely horse and fantastic photos ! Hope your able to get back on board soon ! Please may I ask what the surface is in your menage ?, it looks great. Take a glass of wine, hope the back feels better soon :)

so sorry to hear you came off, I know the pain your going through as 5 weeks on my lower back muscle are still not right:confused:

You looked absolutely fab jumping together and I do hope its not long before you can get back in the saddle :), but agree let D1 do the jumping on her, as they say kids bounce:D:D

Get well soon and sending hugs to you xx

Thank you :D

Sadly, not my manege :(. Instructor hires it for our jumping lessons :). I don't know if there is anything underneath, but the surface is bits of rubber (tyres I think). Horses seem to like it :D

Hope your back improves S :D

Just keep looking back at the photos and see how well you were doing! Sorry to here about the fall hope you are soon back in the saddle again.
