Justification

The vast majority of the land within the British Isles is not shot over yet it boast a vast diversity of natural wildlife that has found its balance in nature.

Wrong. Over two thirds of the UK's land is shot over or managed for shooting.

Why dont you ask the question on a shooting site rather than on an eqestrian/hound site.............Carreg

I thought that all hunters were as one and had a wealth of knowledge on all things pertaining to countryside pursuits. I apologise for assuming that you had the necessary knowledge, but there again we are all prone to assumptions aren’t we, just like some posts that I have read on this site assuming that all people who oppose hunting are regarded as tree hugging do gooders who have absolutely no knowledge of country matters.

I think you're full of siht... I believe you knew most people on here know very little about the day to day matters regarding game shooting, and I for one dont regard antis as soap dodging, tree hugging do gooders...........Carreg

When you say that most people on this site know very little on the subject I therefore assume (there’s that word again) that there are some with a degree of knowledge and it’s these ‘knowledgeable’ people that I address.

So, I'll ask again, why dont you ask on a forum dedicated to this type of activity, if I wanted to learn something about windsurfing I wouldnt ask on a go-kart forum in the hope that someone on there may know something about windsurfing.............Carreg

That's a good point carreg. I've felt obliged to try and answer his questions as I have few days shooting next door each season. But I have to adnit I don't know that much about it.

Celt's posts have however prompted me to question my neighbour about his activities and I have to say his answered bore very little relation to the picture that Celt paints.

Nothing that he has said thus far has convinced me that i shouldn't carry on illegally hunting or legally shooting pheasants.
