Im sorry you lot, but the woman is a very savvy business woman - what could possibly be more intelligent than to cash in on the fact that the male population, by and large, are a base, crass being?

It totally depends on how you look at it, some might say she's exploiting herself, demeaning herself...to me she only demeans the gross men who fawn over her. And a lot of those men might be your boyfriends/hubby's/brothers/kids...

I like Katie Price.

I'm not sure the whole equestrian range is a good plan though, its really not most horsey people's style. I reckon the owners of Derby House are pretty out of touch in general.

yes she made a hell of a lot of money doing something shamefull. which is fine. but the conotations assosiated with katie price are bad. the horsey world has enough bad images such as us being rich posh snobs or bitches. now were all slags too. ive had a fair few people approch me and say have you had sex with a horse? ive seen a video of jordan do it'. i dont want my kids hearing this or anything like it. i will never buy anything from her range. never will. she embaressed herself and everyone watching.

i like her, but wouldnt wear it... i feel that she has worked bloody hard for whats shes got, and shes trying to change her image and has it not given more publicity to riding, she has started backing projects for children in london to start riding

i admire what she has done, and feel that just because of what she did do doesnt mean shes not allowed to try something else

But I can't personally find any vitriol in me for someone who I don't know and who hasn't hurt me. So she was rude to you BH, I think it undermines you as a person to slag her off because of that.

She's not hurting anyone, she made shed loads of money doing something she enjoys. Why not clothing? She's had horses for years, if you don't like it, don't buy it
Personally I'm a teeny bit jealous - nice horses, cars, houses and money to buy whatever you like? Yes plase, even if I had to get my kit off. It's not even demeaning, she must be laughing all the way to the bank
 
kitsune, really, at the end of the day what people do for their jobs, is up to them, i wouldnt like anyone telling me what to do. but i do detest the image the horseworld gets, and the publication merely due to 'jordan'. we have so many up and coming rising stars who deserve so much more recognition then they are getting. look at lee pearson? such a talented and brave man, who forever wakes up wondering if he will retain the sponsorship needed, and who fights adversity to achieve his goals. and sophie wells? a new star in paradressage. I think it is these people who should ride in olympia, and who deserve the recognision and magazine space jordan has taken up.

These are the people young riders of today should look up at, not jordan.

i am actually really shocked that people would actually be jelous of someone who is seen as 'cheep'. shes every thing i would NOT like to be.

I didn't say I wanted to BE her, but she is an astute business woman who has succeeded in pretty much everything she's done, is married with a lovely family and children, some gorgeous houses and horses, and enough money to provide for her children for the rest of their lives. I wouldn't mind that as a life

Rhianna and Britney are a compleatly different topic. i have a strong view that my kids will never buy or own anything assosiated with katie. she can continue doing what she likes with the minority who follow her. my view is that shes bringing a bad name to the equine world and that shes cheep. no one will change my view so before this gets heated. lets agree to disagree.

I don't believe I have been 'unsisterly' my problem lies with the fact that just because people have endless pots of money, they get to be 'designers' and make claims that they will be world class dressage riders.

Both of these require a life time of work to achieve, and for a celebrity, ANY celebrity, to come in with an attitude of such arrogance, is insulting to us poor paupers, who have to work damn hard for it.

And hasn't Katie had to work hard? Just because she has gone about it in a different way to you - where's the problem?

I just cannot relate to this swell of bad feeling for a woman who, yes, has gone about it in a very 'out there' way - but all props to her, she is successful, savvy and bloody minted.

You cannot take away from her at all.
 
Well at 42 years old I obviously wouldn't but there is a huge market for her gear. When I was at Olympia I had a nose round and I would say at least one in 4 people had a KP product bag in their hand !!!
As always she appears to have cracked this part of the market so good luck to her I say.
Most people are only envious of her success anyway !!
