I am very sorry to say that Sirrius was put to sleep this evening

The infection was in his bone and had damaged the hock beyond repair. It is likely that he picked something up from Amber before he was born. There was nothing more we could have done.

I went to see him earlier to say goodbye but they wouldn't let me stay. Think that was for the best tbh.

Thank you for all the support, good vibes and hugs. xxx

Oh I am so sorry to hear this. On your birthday as well. How awful.

Poor little Sirrius. Huge hugs to you and Amber.

So sorry to hear your news. It felt so positive at the weekend. Big hugs to you and Amber, its so hard when you lose one so young. Thinking of you.

I am so, so sorry JAGS. Such a sad ending; but you did your very best for him and the vets couldn't have done more, so at least you can have a bit of peace in that knowledge.

I hope Amber is alright - you will both need each other in the coming days.

Sending you my best wishes and my sympathy,

I meant to add on my post, that Sirrius is one of my husbands favourite stars (he's an avid astronomer).

Next time he's star gazing, I'll ask him to think of your Sirrius when he views in that direction. Little star.....in your heart forever.

Oh honey, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I can't imagine how you are feeling right now, but all my thoughts are with you and Amber at this difficult time. You did everything you could for the little man, something that I am sure will help you come to terms with what has happened.

I don't know what else to say to you... I am in shock that he has been PTS because it seemed so positive at the weekend. But like Tia said, you and Amber will need each other over the next few weeks and I send my sympathies to you.

Please let me know if you need anything at all, and you know where I am if you want a chat... just PM me and I am right at the other end of the computer.

Rebecca
