London International horse show

Andrew with his chestnut was terrifying.
Shame for Gemma.
I know these horses have to be a bit crazy to jump these fences but still, doesn’t look comfortable. Also, why do you need 3 slaps down the neck, Sven?

Gemma is such a lovely rider. Couldn't believe the super strong Chestnut! Brave rider on a horse that strong - terrifying!

Love Rachel and this bay x

I've had to turn it off, I can't listen to the ridiculous justifications for clear stress behaviour in the horses. Horse napping is just "too excited about jumping the wall", the chestnut horse was really horrible to watch, hanging his entire upper body off his mouth the entire round. Then we're still calling smacking your horse repeatedly with a whip "a bit of encouragement", is this trying to keep their social license to operate? Do they think people are stupid?

I used to love watching Olympia so much at Christmas, but I just can't stomach all of this anymore.

Its interesting how our views change.

A real shame for Chloe as it seemed to be going so well. The horse obviously has lots of scope.

I’m hoping the chestnut doesn’t present for this round because it is not a nice watch.

Inwas thinking this earlier - wondering how the commentators are briefed differently these days to appear to he putting the welfare if the horses first… when its clear some of the horses are clearly very stressed.

Steve Austin always does my head in how he praises rider for minimal tack, and then blames minimal tack for any faults that happen. Does my head in!
