Meet Eowyn

You sound over the moon with her! I think she is lovely - and a nice size too. I hope she turns out to be everything you hope for. Well done your OH!

Ignore the nasty comments - there's no accounting for some people.

she looks lovely

hope you have loads of fun with her

LHS - how incredibly rude ARE you?! Hate for you to see our stables, mixture of old sheds and *shock horror* breeze block stables!!

And suppose telling you that most of our yard is cobbled would shock you as well?!

To OP regarding glass - just keep an eye on it, its got a shelf so shouldnt be too much of a prob imo
smile.gif

Right you sycophantic lot i've got an add for you and i'm gonna wind you up more cos its boring in here . Here goes a new livery option for you,

We have a vacancy at our yard, accommodation offering as follows,

a small dark, cobweb covered ,stain riddled breeze block stable with added features of

pipework hanging down the walls and ceiling offering an additional feature of loose wires for your horse to play with,

chipped, gouged window ledge a suitable surface for a nice chest wound,

We offer a view onto the caravan park if your horse is capable of seeing through the algae and slime on the glass windows, which if they shatter will offer a nice air conditioned unit with glass shards on the floor.

if this is not enough stimulation perhaps the naked light bulb at head height from the ceiling offering a cut or perhaps the excitement of setting the straw on fire should it break.

Any takers

Yes I know i'm being a c@w but if it make the OP change even one of these things it will be worth being slated over.

So you realise you're being a cow? Great!
I don't actually think it was what you said rather the way you said it - have some tact for goodness sake! As someone else said polite PM might have been a better idea...
Justify it how you like, you're out of order.

If you want to get on your bandwagon over stable conditions - why not just start your own thread with your ideas of what is acceptable, with photos, and leave the OP alone.

I bet you blow out the candles on other people's birthday cakes too.

I'm ignoring you from now on. Sorry but there is no excuse for being a cow, despite what you say.

There is such a thing as safety and everyone on here has different views and expresses them in different ways.

I hope all is well, but lets hope we never see a post saying my horse has been badly injured because then everyone saying yes, lovely, lovely have done her a huge dis- service by not being truthful.

I can be blunt and so are others on this forum, and this forum is not just about being nicey nice.

So we are sycophantic because we don't agree with you - how f*cking childish. You really have made me angry and that takes a lot.

So your yard is sooo bloody perfect is it? Well lucky lucky you - oh to live in your perfect world. Wind your neck in and stop insulting just about everyone on here.

OP - Like your horse - with a bit of work (which you know about) she will be even lovelier.

I never usually comment on the threads that turn into a fight, hoowever - LHS YOU ARE A NASTY PIECE OF WORK .

I firmly believe what goes round comes round.

OP - enjoy your horse, wish I had an OH who was so kind and supporting, most people will have kept their horses in similar surroundings at one point or another - unless of course they are lady muck herself!!

Please do not take her comments to heart - they are cruel, nasty and unnecessary and should be ignored

Good luck with your new horse I look forward to hearing how you get on

LHS - i think the point is OP is just wanting us to share in her joy at her new horse and comments about the stable where not needed as it was not the time or place!

Lucky girl, XX
She looks a show stopper,
Hope you have lots of fun with her this summer, and would
love to hear how you get on.
Lucky you, your oh seems to have a good eye for a ned!!!!

can you see the size of the whole stable then? and when were cobwebs and stains life threatening?

pipework hanging down the walls and ceiling offering an additional feature of loose wires for your horse to play with,
you know they are carrying a live current do you?

chipped, gouged window ledge a suitable surface for a nice chest wound,
OMG a piece of chipped wood- would it have been ok if it was polished hardwood?

We offer a view onto the caravan park if your horse is capable of seeing through the algae and slime on the glass windows, which if they shatter will offer a nice air conditioned unit with glass shards on the floor.
oh, the horse cares about the view, silly me!
again algae, very dangerous substance.
i'll let you have the glass (although do you know it is glass and not perspex?)

if this is not enough stimulation perhaps the naked light bulb at head height from the ceiling offering a cut or perhaps the excitement of setting the straw on fire should it break.
a lightbulb- good God, call the RSPCA!

Any takers
i'd rather be on the OPs yard than yours thanks.
do you ever turn out your horses (you know they can slip and break a leg?).
ride them? horses have dropped dead of heart attacks being ridden.
jump at all? plenty of danger there.
hack out on roads? ditto, plenty of danger.
hack out on fields? chance of horse's leg getting twisted in rabbit hole etc

i understand that you want to put your views across about stable safety (mostly unwarranted) but could you not have started a new thread rather than ruining the OPs thread about her new horse?

My horses simply refused to enter their stables recently as they just hated what the new interior decorator had done with them. They felt the oak panelling and the buttery yellow on the walls just didn't work at all. Though they did quite like the recessed lighting and the gold curtains.

Seriously - congrats on the new horse and the OH. Enjoy.

She is absolutely gorgeous, please ignore the hurtful comments as Im sure your new hrosey is a lot more important! I would listen about the glass but then again I have no idea it is only a picture and I DONT know your plans soo...
.. I hope you have a great future ahead with her she looks a nice sort!

Lovely horse OP, definately 'my' type.

Have you considered having an artist in and having a mural painted on her bedroom wall?

Its what all the best kept horses have these days sweedie.....

Right this is for the moron who thinks that from a couple of pics they can tell how someones stable is and how much grass they have.

My lunging area is just down the field from where the farmer stores peoples caravans.

Pony usually travels in Lorry had just arrived in a trailer.

Right for LHS. Gorw up you complet and utter arsehole.

I have 12 to 14 acres of land all well fenced, with a grass arena, 20x40 marked out each summer. My horses want for nowt and they live out so stables are for SHELTER not their main habitat.
smirk.gif

If you like your horse stuck in a freshly painted, cobweb free stable 24/7 then fine knock yourself out but my horses like to be in fields with GRASS shock horror
shocked.gif
which I seem to have a lot off right now since I dont have my horses on a livery yard, its a BLOODY FARM you complete idiot.

As for the stables well the pipes burst and are currently in the process of being done, were actually being fixed that day when I took the pics, so you do realise that you have to take the insulation and also move witres to do that dont you??? Or are you that much of an idiot you think that live wires are placed along side water pipes??
smirk.gif

The windo is actuall covered now as the term surprise generally means that not everything was finished when she arrives and since the stable will only be for bad weather why should it be ocvered to allow her to meet my horse over the wall
confused.gif
Get a life and stop trying to ruin everyone elses just becuase you are a bitter harpie
smirk.gif

Anyway back to ignoring the troll
grin.gif

Thanks guys she is a sweetie and once she has somemore condition and work I think we will have bags of fun!!!

Will post more pics on sat once she has had a tidy up!!

Nikki xxxx

I am very glad for your horses sake you have things in hand, cos yes its a DUMP and in the current state a dangerous one.

As I said before ' different standards'.

TRY

YARD a little run down and dirty but your horse will be loved, looked after and well cared for.

or

YARD perfect in every way. YO can be spiteful and rude unneccessarilly.

I know which one I'd be going to.

LHS if safety was your concern you could have made the point either in a kind way or via PM, you seem like you are trying to be nasty, for no reason.

Lovely horse and an aamazing surprise! Bet you are thrilled! Have lots of fun with her and keep posting pics.

LHS even if you think 'different standards' why not keep it as a thought in your head.
I never usually get involved in these arguments but you are being quite nasty.
People like you this world could do without, trying to stamp out peoples happiness. Pathetic.

God what a misserable COW you are LHS!!!!! Why would she want to move to your yard.......so she can have a bitch like you for company.....!???? what is your problem!?? Are you trying to make others feel bad because your yard is in a worse state.....Id love you to see my lads stable......plastic covered wire tubes, thousands of cob webs and bird [****] all on the rafters......yes bird [****]........!! get a life women and grow up!!
