I've spent two hours tackling my least favourite job - lifting the rubber matting out of the field shelter/stable, scrubbing it all down, scrubbing shelter walls, scraping up all the rotting, pee-soaked shavings that forced themselves in between the mats and re-laying them again (ultra thick cattle matting, so not light!).

I now ache in places I didn't know I could, my jeans are soaked through with sweat and I smell REVOLTING despite being clad head to toe in oilskins! While I go off for a much-needed shower, what are your least favourite horsey chores?

Used to be sheath cleaning till 3 of mine had probs with theirs end of last year and all had to be massaged to go back in for half and hour at a tim min 2 x a day, so now that jobs seems to quick and easy.
Ruber mat cleaning is it for me hence i pulled all mine up dumped them all in one stable and will clean and sell them as i hate the job so much
