Well money aside eek:) that is a good outcome. He looks a lovely relaxed boy and in essence is what you wanted. Horses rarely turn out exactly as expected and at least he is sound and calm and you love him. So sorry you had such a bad time of it but maybe next time insist on a vetting (it can still all go wrong but you have more comeback) and we all live and learn.
I hope you enjoy him for many years. My daughters PC pony was still hacking out happily at 27 and her friends pony is carrying her own son around at 37 so don't be disheartened.

If im honest i think you got a bargain, even at 17. He's a very popular type, height and a fantastic mother daughter share plus safe hacking horse. These types are not that easy to find.
