Need a name for my new horse ...HELP !

BJ666, so sorry to hear your news. I am so glad you were there to give her a couple of weeks of love and attention. Nobody could have tried more for her than you have. I will be thinking of you on Monday.

bj666 , god bless you! you have done such a wonderful thing for that poor, poor horse thank god you found eachother. I'm sorry its not as good an outcome as we'd all hope but at least the poor girl knew love, respect and dignity in her last weeks. Hugs for you hun and i hope your ok..xx
 
Thank you all for your kind words . We'll have a scratch and a carrot or two before the Vet does her thing ..... then peace .
 
I'm very sorry to read of the sad outcome. I take my hat off to people like you who give some poor horse the chance of a lifetime, even if in this case it was only 2 weeks more.
You have probably showed more kindness and care to the poor mare in the short time you have had to the heartless people who sold her. ((( hugs )))))))

Thank you . I hope if I hadnt been there that someone else would of done the same .
 
Thinking of you tomorrow, you've done a fab job and have given her a good couple of weeks. Poor girl I can't imagine why someone would let such a wonderful animal get to that stage.
 
It's such a shame, there aren't really any words. You have done a wonderful thing, and she will thank you for it. You are very, very brave.

Just to say a big thank you to all who have been in touch and your kind kind words. It all went very well , we have a small grassy courtyard outside the stables , so Grace stood there so she could see the other horses so was nice and calm , she had a chomp on the grass , Vet got the vein 1st time , another chomp on grass , 1st syringe full went in , she sat down , rolled over , Vet got 2nd syringe full in and she was gone . It must of taken 2mins tops . Vet stayed for about 10mins , chatting and checking her . So all in all it was fine.

The Rainbow Bridge For Horses

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
when their time on earth is over and done.


For here, between this world and the next,
is a place where beloved creatures find rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
til The Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.


No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed.
Their bodies have healed with strength imbued.


They trot through the grass without even a care,
til one day they whinny and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes sharp and alert.
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the herd.


For just at that second, there's no room for remorse.
As they see each other...one person...one horse.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past
The time of their parting is over at last.


The sadness they felt while they were apart
has turned to joy once more in each heart.
They nuzzle with a love that will last forever.
And then, side-by-side, they cross over...together.
 
I am so sorry for your loss of a beautiful mare. Everyone else has said what has needed to be said, so I can say no more.
Grace, = a perfect name for a truely graceful mare.
