New cat - possibly!

Re pictures: I'm too old and dim to know how to post them! If some kind soul could pm me their email address, I will try and append a couple. Many thanks.

No, apparently has always been an inside cat. After a few months in, I'll give him the opportunity to go outside. On one occasion, MCC hopped out of the galley window and was playing pat-a-cake with a very cross male swan's beak! :( I hastily clattered her food dish and she hopped back in. Foolish cat! She ignored moorhens and the mallards completely. Sneered (at a safe distance) at the Indian Runners. She ruled the world, and will never be forgotten. Still crying over her loss and finding white cat hairs in odd places.

Even my youngest lunatic dog knows you don't mess with swans. I have to go past them first if they are on the tow path, seemingly he's quite happy to sacrifice me to the white spawn of satan 😂 😂

Success! My friend who is my cat finder, put another of her friends in touch with me. This friend has just got a Spaniel who is persecuting the cat. Cat is 1 year old, a tabby, not a black one, and a dead ringer for the late King Kevin Kat. She needs to get rid of cat. Had a long conversation with this lady this afternoon. Cat and all accessories and current food (Felix) are arriving on Monday afternoon. Mission Achieved!

Yay, great news, for both you, and the tabby!

Perfect!!

My parents were adopted by a tabby cat when I was young (he moved in, they couldn't find an owner, he stayed for 15 years). He was the soppiest cat around but he would miaow loudly if he wanted the heating on 😄

I'm so happy you've been selected by a new cat - a well trained human should never be without a cat for long

Thanks, everyone! Now getting in a New Cat Mother spin and planning a trip to PetsRUs for Feliway and Dreamies! Apparently, still eating wet kitten food, so will go and get some of the same brand. He will have some of his current food brought with him. Haven't had a young (1yr old) cat for ages. Will set up Expensive Cat Insurance immediately and register with vet. Currently up to date with vaccinations. Still have MCC's cat toys, including her favourite Fevver on a Fishing Rod! I hope she won't look down from Cat Heaven and get jealous.

Fantastic news! I love the name Marlon and it suits him but TNB/Tabby Not Black is brilliant 😂. Lucky, lucky cat to become your official Ship 's Cat. 😁😁 So pleased for you @Ratface - I hope all goes well tomorrow.

Brilliant news! He looks like a partner in crime for the Hooligan Cat, who is now coming up to two years old. HC's latest escapade was to strip the drying washing off the clothes airer and run round the house with it, just because he had been left whilst I went shopping. Thought I had been burgled!
😄😄😄

Marlon won't have any chance of doing that! I take my washing to my local laundrette and watch it whirl round and then get dry, all for £8. The local town is a real melting-pot, so meeting them is often very interesting.

Really! You should know by now to enquire when it would be convenient to His Majesty HC for you to rush out and get his provisions in, plus cat treats and a portion of fresh salmon. Can't get the help, these days . . .
