Fantastic news Ratface I'm looking forward to hearing about new cats adventures!

The saying is definitely true that a house isn't really a home without a cat

Currently up to date with vaccinations. Still have MCC's cat toys, including her favourite Fevver on a Fishing Rod! I hope she won't look down from Cat Heaven and get jealous.
She and Kevin cat probably have conspired together and chose this one for you. All I can say, if they have,-good luck as it will be double trouble and demanding..

I've been sat in my car for the last hour and a half waiting for cat and owner. No show. No telephone call. No text. Spent a fortune getting the food he's already eating. Plus biscuits by the same manufacturer. Checked the journey they are likely to be taking. Some roadworks, but surely the current owner should have allowed for that?
Despair creeping up again I want to be with King Kevin Kat and MCC.

Yes, she's out on her birthday treat in not so sunny Hastings!
I'm so disappointed. I've got all his food, treats and biscuits ready in the barge, and I was so looking forward to him coming.
My friend has immediately found me another one, but he probably won't like cheap and cheerful Felix!

That’s so disappointing and not fair on the owners to not even text/call you

How rude that they didn’t contact you to either arrange a different day or to say they’d had a change of mind. What is wrong with people. Poor Marlon, he would have had a great life on and around the barge. I hope he gets a good home and is not still confined to one room. I hope it’s better news with the new cat.

Latest update! I phoned the wretched woman and had an only-just polite conversation with her. "Oh?" quoth she, sounding like she was totally out of it on ???: "I'd completely forgotten about you." Mmm. I was chatting to someone . . .. I can get him in his box now and put his things together . . .". I restrained myself from responding with a nasty snarl. WRETCHED WOMAN!! So, back to the barge for an anti-hypo- sandwich and a powerful cup of tea and back up here on cat watch. I'll be on my best behaviour. Just.

That is so rude! I’m angry for you, and if it wasn’t for Marlon who sounds an ideal barge master I would be tempted to tell her to take a flying leap!
Anyway, onwards and upwards, looking forward very much to reading you and he have finally been united 🤞

And breathe . . . Catto has landed. The owner was, shall we say - a shade eccentric. Hmm. Arrived in a huge new Mercedes-Benz with an anxious spaniel in the back. Very large lady, dripping with diamonds, caked in make-up. Grey hair with a purple fringe. She swayed down to the barge with me carrying the cat basket, which was only half done up. She said "I can't stay long - we're moving to (trashy resort on the South Coast) and we can't take him." Apparently bought to please daughter and now daughter is "bored" with him and "we can't stop the dog from chasing him". "I'll take the cat basket back - it's not mine. I just borrowed it". Anyway, she toddled off without a backward glance and roared off in the flash motor.
Catto is still in the late-lamented GSD's open cage, on a heap of soft blankets, surrounded by Cheese Dreamies. He's got an array of wet and dry food, plus fresh water and is doing a loaf pose, contemplating life. I've retreated to the aft cabin and left him to his own devices. Fingers crossed.

I thought that she was - unfortunate. I'm sure she has her better qualities. I just didn't have the opportunity to discover them! Catto has moved to a comfortable nest in the far corner of his residence and is contemplating life.
I feel sorry for him. He seems in shock. All my previous cats were "Yeah??? You lookin' at me? Don't even think about it!" Thugs and vagabonds, all.
Thank goodness the owner didn’t need a new home.🤣
She could have lodged in the upper scuppers. Wedged in. She wouldn't have moved an inch, whatever the amount of rock and roll . . .
Nasty fattest toad, aren't I?

I’m glad he’s arrived with you, lucky cat. I hope he starts to realise his life is now so much better. I hate when people treat their animals as disposable but glad they have disposed of him in your direction.
