I’m on the fence with this place, not that I’ll EVER be in a position to consider it!!

I love the arenas but the turnout is awful, I prefer herds and more than just flat boring pasture. Being the muddiest, most untidy person alive, i’d soon get that place dirty 🤣 and i’d hate being so paranoid about it being dirty, who has time for that with horses?!

it occurs to me they may as well make it a round £500........😂😂😂😂

I used to work somewhere similar not far away. Owned and built by a multi millionaire (until she lost it all in the divorce) . all the facilities you like (the solarium was particularly useful I have to say!) but defo for the ladies who lunch group of riders.

It's definitely built for the people over the horses but I guess that's what appeals to their clientele, or not, as they don't seem oversubscribed.
The whole setup doesn't exactly exude fun, perhaps it's better on a day to day basis.

The internal stabling, lack of shelter in the tedious paddocks and no winter turnout even at that price is a big drawback.
I can't even begin to imagine how awful the conversation in the club house would be.

Works out at £2.96 an hour… (on 24/7 basis)

While it’s expensive, I think people need to consider the running costs of such a facility. The lighting of that indoor will cost a small fortune!

Wow, so £2k a month. Thats insane. Do they get any turnout? I cant imagine many happy horses there... all I can imagine is lots of stressed stabled, bored to death horses but hey at least they'd be immaculately shiny... ugh.

Id be terrified keeping my horse there, you'd spend more time tidying up after yourself than actually enjoying your horse. Or for that price presumably you have your own groom who follows you around with a dustpan and brush.

It's the sort of place that would be great for a 2-3 day clinic/show- but I wouldn't want to keep a horse there full time, it looks like the sort of place that would send them stir crazy- I also notice they don't say if exercise is included in the livery cost- with the limited turnout (and I can't imagine they get many hours out there in the winter) they'd need a lot of work to keep them sane!

Exercise is available, extra cost I guess

Ah that's rather more informative than their website- but for that cost I'd expect exercise included! (Poss is in some of their packages?) Woodchip pens for winter turnout is suggesting they aren't allowed on the grass in the winter- the size of those pens from the aerial shots posted above makes that rather sad if that's the only turnout 😕

In the livery list bit it says " grazing - available year round " my thoughts on it are yuk, but I would like 3 of the stables in the field behind our house.

Ah, I didn't see that- I wonder if that's the sadly common 2ish hours a day, or proper turnout in the winter?

I like the sound of the riding facilities, but I prefer a yard with a bit of character.
The livery yard I grew up at and stayed at for 21 years knocked down the ‘old yard’ in 2003 and rebuilt it with American barns. It was never the same for me after that.
I like character stables, old buildings, that kind of thing.
