I was just reviewing my renewal docs as Ronnie's insurance is up for renewal on 2 April. The following general exclusion has been applied:
"We will not pay any claim which directly or indirectly arises from, or is connected with:
- any accident that happened to an animal insured before the start of the policy, or if this has been in force for a year or more, before the last renewal.
- any illness, disease or condition which first appeared in an an animal insured before the start of the policy, or if this has been in force for a year or more, before the last renewal. "
This sounds to me like heaven help you if your horse gets injured just before your insurance is renewed? Ronnie's left foreleg lameness was picked up on 19 March, does this mean he has to have all diagnosis and treatment complete prior to 2 April or it will be excluded?
Please someone tell me I'm wrong...
