I am so sorry hunny i lost my fantastic horse a couple of weeks ago and it was very sudden - we found him in th efield. All i can do is send you huge hugs and lots and lots of love xxxx
Thanks again for the messages and pm's.
The morning hasn't made it easier, I wanted it to be a nightmare.
I don't feel like doing anything, or eating, I just feel so numb
Oh my! How absolutely dreadful for you all. My thoughts are with both you and your daughter.
Will definately be giving mine an extra cuddle today.
You poor things.
Take Care
RIP Herbie x
How awful, I see not one person had asked why this happened, was he tied up properly I take it the head collar was round his neck while you put the bridle on? BHS Rules state if you put a head collar around a horses neck to put a bridle on you always hold the rope you never tie it to anything! Its so dangerous and one of the first things you learn when dealing with horses. Was he tied to bailer twine?
Sorry for your loss, but better safety would probably have prevented this. Everyone must learn from this ever happening again. Poor horse.
Yes he was tied properly. Yes the headcollar was on properly.
Actually nothing would have prevented it, everything was properly done.
Thanks for you so kind words kooky, as usual

How bloody rude of you just to assume that the headcollar was around his neck and that this tragic ACCIDENT could of been prevented. You are completely out of order.
The very same thing happened to my daughter's horse a few weeks ago. She was tied at her stable and suddenly for no reason took fright and pulled back. This time the baler twine didn't break and she pulled a panel off the stable, together with nails and staples sticking out, along with her. Thankfully she stopped and stood after a few yards and we were able to catch her. We have now bought elasticated tie up things to put in place of the baler twine and they give way after a certain amount of force is put on them. I am so sorry for your tragic loss and it makes me go cold to think that it could so easily have been us.
