Now they are really rare! I've only ever seen one in real life.

🤣🤣🤣
My friend had one of those. It was a genuine sh*t whose best trick was pulling the child off his back by the foot. Saved her a fortune by putting the kids off riding.
He also bit the tip off my pony's ear in a fight.

On the subject of grey Shetlands Briar Snowman and Briar Snowfox are prolific winners in the show ring, including HOYS. Riccalton Pewter was an amazing racing shetland too.

I would dearly love to have another grey but the only ones I like are in Denmark 😂 should have brought one over before Brexit! The ones being bred down in Cornwall are so inbred you wouldn't touch them for breeding. Mother on son, son on daughter, full siblings etc to make sure they turn out grey.

I’ve can’t remember if you’ve said no greys so apologies if you have! Just seen this pop up on Facebook and done quick Google maps Manchester to Shropshire and it says 1.50 so a possible if you don’t mind a grey! View attachment 111612

He's a nice horse and I'm slightly tempted. True I'm not keen on greys for the melanoma issue and cleaning when they get a bit lighter, which they inevitably will. That one is also a bit big and I'm pretty sure the smaller ones are tougher. Less far to fall too 😁

Working off the logic that you can't reject an ad for conformation if there are no conformation photos, what about this girl? Definitely a project.

Not an ex racer but needs some schooling. Only ever heard positive things about this dealer. Always open and honest and give a full picture of the horse.

ETA; apologies if my timing is bad and you're taking a break from looking

How much, for a horse someone else has messed up and returned a week ago under sale of goods act? I'd want to see her in work with them longer to make sure it isn't a case of the Pro being able to ride her through a brewing problem.

They didn't sell her to the teenager. The teenager bought her from a less scrupulous dealer, RR have agreed to take her on and sell her.

And she would be more than double that price with no hang ups. Your paying for breeding and potential with a horse like that.

What makes you think that? The ad says the horse has been *back* with them just over a week. It also appears to blame the teenager for 'over-horsing herself and allowing M to nap', rather than a dealer selling her the wrong horse.

The person who recommended they contact RR when the teenager (and parents) realised they had over horsed is a friend.

It feels too risky to buy one somebody else has started and now doesn't want to carry on with and is open to offers to get rid of him. I particularly want one straight off the track that nobody else has messed about with, for that reason and others.
