Mr Blue Sky is always incredible, but I just loved the look on Cruze’s face when he locked onto the wall every time he approached it. Then in the prize giving, he gave the elves the same look ? What a beautifully expressive face he had.

I've just rewatched it as I *may* have fallen asleep on the sofa last night while it was on...What a fantastic result. I also like that the stupidly low grackle was adjusted between rounds.

That Cruze has a beautiful enthusiastic face. So pleased for both riders.

I was watching as Mark Edwards is local to me - we hire his arena for riding club and he's taught for us a few times. He's a really nice guy and treats his horses so well. All (both) his top horses are homebred and he's brought them all on since they were babies. He doesn't have the money or backers that more high profile riders have (he gets a lot of youngsters to start for the top riders but they take them back once they're established and ready for the biggest stages) so it's lovely to see him getting some exposure. It wasn't his night but 5th in the Olympia Puissance isn't something to be sniffed at especially as Montreux's Tale is by no means a puissance specialist, just a really honest horse who tries his heart out.

I'm very happy for Joe Trunkfield and Cruze - and of course, the legends that are Guy Williams and Mr Blue Sky. Great competition this year!
