Our 2013 BD debut...

Yes when you have the two pics next to each other like that - just does not look like same horse at all! You have done so well with him, do you think the fenugreek has helped build muscle with correct work? Mine is a bit weak at moment recovering from injury and time off and just coming back Into work, have her on lysine for protein but might look at fenugreek - do you have seeds or powder?

Bless him, he looks so angular in the first pic

It's a sort of chicken and egg question :o And I do find myself wondering if it's increased his appetite, hence the weight gain, or helped him gain the weight altogether, or soothed his tum which has encouraged him to eat more which has made him put weight on

It's the powder, very cheap, big tub off ebay (though I'm sure there's other places you can get it!). He gets 2 x 20ml scoops a day at the moment, depending on how he goes on that I may drop it down to 1 x 20ml.

PS is going to try it on her boy, so it will be interesting to see the affects it has for him :)

Ah phew! :-) tell me about it - spend half an hour cooking or make beans on toast in 5 - easy decisions lol!

I was really skinny at one point but the taunts were horrible hence the 'please don't be offended!'

I know - I get home from work around 6.15pm, so out on yard 6.30pm if I'm riding, and by the time I've finished and put the horses to bed it's around 8.30/9. The first thing on my mind is a shower. By then I've lost the will and just want to go to bed!

He looks better and better every time you post piccys!

Could you post a link to the fenugreek you get please, would be interested to try my lad on it!

Wow great start to the year, well done to both of you. Fig looks so different in the comparison pics.

Really pleased the Fenugreek is working, I always buy the big bag too, saves on shipping costs in the long term.

No probs :)

Lol at the kittens hope they tire
Soon - thanks for link going to get some for mine :)

I'm debating getting up and locking them in my bathroom!!!

Thanks AB :) It seems to be having a really positive affect on him, and it is nice to not be throwing away his untouched feeds every day!!!!

Clever Figgy pony :D He looks so awesome in those photos, he's a chunky monkey! You NEED to do RoR showing with him...

Can he have words with darling Beatrice, who is not taking a leaf from his 'good pony' books, and is being a queen bitch? She's just making trouble, throwing almighty tantrums and then getting bored and carrying on, sweet as you like. Al thinks she's winning, but virtually every chat we have involves lots of "repeat after me... I LOVE BEE. Again. Like you mean it this time..." :D

He is looking buff! And well on the way to being qualified for summer regionals - worth giving PS a black and freezing by the sounds of it :D

Haha thanks!

I'd love to do some showing with him.... but.... I think it would take a lot of money and time to get him sensible with other horses on grass, and I'd be hugely upset should that impact on his dressage-ing! I'm really really really not keen on anyone else riding him, bar a few people. Which I know sounds daft, but he's *my* sensitive hot headed little dimwit :o

Aw poor Bee :(

Thanks :) I'm not sure she thought it at the time!!!

No, I get that entirely! He's too good at being poncetastic to risk losing that. And he'd make Reg look even bigger  (he looks like he's Reggie sized, but I think even Bee would dwarf him now?)

Can Reg have a word about how being sensible is fun please :p

Probably! He was a good 3hh smaller than everything else there except two 14hh's and one 13hh! He makes up for it in personality :D

Awww, midget racing pony!

Reg could have plenty of words about being a massive tit. He was mostly shocked into good behavior by some of the others :D

I love reading yours and PS reports. Great result and Fig looks amazing! However, where are the pics of the kitties chasing the cream egg.........................:-)

Well done. He's looking fantastic and even stronger than before (when he was already looking stronger than before that!).

Well, Thor tired himself out:

And so Loki became the centre of attention:

Thank TPO - he felt really good, I'm hoping we continue 2013 as well as we started!

they are actually THE cutest kittens ever, mine is a homicidal savage, but NMT's are the sweetest little things, you can hear them "ppprrrrpt" in her room as soon as you step on to the landing, they just want to snuggle everyone

NMT can probably add more but:

* its an appetite stimulant
* it soothes the stomach by making a mucilaginous (sp???!!!) coating that protects the ulcer from the acid, allowing it to heal.

so a two fold approach to getting condition back on them, but interesting from the point of view that: does the fenugreeek actually sooth the stomach *that* much, or does it just encourage them to eat more fibre which lines the stomach????

ill be very interested to see how it works on CS, as he is a piggy and has no probs with his appetite so its mainly the soothing effect im interested in.
Fig on the other hand can be quite picky with hay, but is eating more since having the fg.
