I won't quote it word for word but it basically says "I'm working on giving a full update on the situation soon. Thank you everyone for donating & sharing the GFM, the response has been beyond my wildest dreams. I hope it will mean he is coming home soon"

Ah ok, I just found something similar on Fbk from yesterday. In that one, she particularly thanks Mary Wanless. I'm sure someone earlier on the thread said that Mary was no longer supporting her, looks like they were mistaken....

I’ve followed her for 2 years and she does stories most days. Some days it will be just a single story, other days it will be lots of horses in the paddocks, horses getting physio, lessons, etc. I have not met MD, LZ, or TB in person but I did do quite a bit of due diligence when I was looking into investing last year and spoke to another investor/others in her circle.

I’m dubious of the TB allegations as I was told LZ had loans coming due last summer, there were financial issues, and at that time her owners and investors were quite pleased. Additionally, her stable is close to her parents and I find it hard to believe they would allow the horses to be left in the conditions that TB alleged has gone on for months. If you watch her instagram stories, her dad teaches her and her mom helps her at shows, grooming, etc. Not to mention her horse box sponsor who is there at least once weekly for transport, her social media person, physio, the jumpers that loan the indoor, her clients she teaches on site, spillers horse feeds who sponsored her and used one of the alleged ‘starved & emaciated horses’ LZ took back in a shoot….

It’s a stretch to believe that MW would ‘give her blessing’ to have Olaf removed to another continent to be ridden and managed by someone she’s never met. When I spoke to her in person, she was quite passionate about the pair and really liked the horse with high hopes of them reaching GP.

Regarding LZ using 2 different last names consecutively for the business, I was informed she isn’t married.

Reading this, it occurs to me that none of us knows the details of the syndicate contract... for example, whether decisions about relocating or selling the horse can be made by simple majority vote, or need some other mechanism. Maybe the syndicate is in dispute and that's why welfare was weaponised.

I look at like a racehorse in training, they are performance animals with a limited competition life and it in the owners terms its not being managed or getting the results they would like they remove from the trainer. I can understand the trainer not wanting it to leave but depending on the contract they do not have the final say, it's just a business decision, and even if it is just about money in the end or wanting someone else to train and compete the horse contract is the thing that really defines what happens.
Once a dispute becomes public I think people want to defend their PTO. I have natives, for showing they all look in some peoples eyes underweight, so no one would ever want me to produce an animal to show, if you want a competition animal they are that condition.
 
Hmm, so TB has just announced that she is relocating to the USA, I don't know whether that throws any more light on this situation....

I'm not sure, she doesn't seem to have much to benefit from the sale of the investment shares in her horse (unless I'm mistaken) as I assume she keeps the same shares in him unless she and the syndicate sell him outright. She appears to have given up the ride on him in 2024 and placed him with a rider, presumably due to her travelling/planning to relocate - and the fall-out with MD I think is personal, on whatever basis.

I did notice LZ has stopped posting completely since all this, when previously she was posting almost daily about TB's horse, but then looking back she does have breaks where she hasn't posted for up to a month at the time, so perhaps coincidence.

Maybe Olaf and Jagger are somehow part of the same negotiations and that's why she's gone quiet. Who knows....
 
Personally I'm hoping that what's been raised will be enough - obviously LZ will know what the GFM amount is, so presumably they are still negotiating.
 
Intriguing. Wonder why paused ? Unless she knows she is no longer in a position to hopefully buy him. I feel she should at least give some form of update. That’s a lot of folks hard earned cash sitting in that account. Update …. Her instagram is looking like she’s bought him ? Is that him ?

I can’t see him coming back, where has he been for 3 weeks? I think he’s already on LZ’s yard but the radio silence from all parties is very odd!
 
To conclude…. LZ was so concerned for her horses welfare with MD she seized them back, when they tried to take Olaf MD beat them up, they did take Olaf for a time but have now sold him to the horse abuser. Mary Wanless has cut all ties with MD, except she hasn’t. TB has forgotten about her neglected horse and left the country. LZ has temporarily stopped trying to sell TB’s horse. There may or may not be a court case ongoing and according to TB it is all coming out in the press.

I may have to start watching Eastenders now this is all over!

If anything, if the rumours are true about the MD party and poor care era, I hope the allegations have shamed her sufficiently to up her game.

To answer the questions about why the Go Fund Me was needed: my family did not benefit financially from the sale of Jaguar VOD to the original syndicate, as my father had left the business that owned him due to poor health before the sale. My potential commission was forfeited to allow me to keep the ride. I also do not have other horses to sell, while I own a 19yo one eyed homebred and a 4yo, who was given to me for £1, neither is a “sellable” horse.

The GoFundMe was a last resort and I can’t believe the response. I’m so grateful for the support of the equestrian community🥹🥹'
