Hi guys,
I just wanted to have a little chat really.
I have 2 Patterdale Terriers both boys, both lovable little things.
Marley loves all other dogs and Diesel tolerates other dogs, usually more interested in sticks or toys on a walk than sniffing new friends! He'll just completely blank them!
But when we were out walking yesterday Marley went trotting over to say hello to 2 dogs, Diesel saw him go over and ran over at top speed.
I was actually quite pleased that he was socialising with other dogs when I heard a commotion. On closer look Diesel was snapping and really going for the other dog!
I couldn't believe it, totally unprovoked.
I ran over and the owner of the other dog was kicking Diesel and trying to get him away from his dog.
Quite rightly he was rather angry, I apologised over and over again and explained that he wasn't normally like that. Even offered to pay to get his dog checked over.
He just kept saying that he was disgusted and that Diesel was out of control.
I am so worried about taking him out around other dogs now, and thinking he should be muzzled or something to be on the safe side.
Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else before either your dog being attacked or the attacker??
Thanks.
